I first tested and reviewed individual artificial Norfolk Island Pine branches. I had never seen them before, and I was very impressed with their detail, texture, and realism. When I saw these complete trees, I knew I had to give them a try – and I am equally impressed.I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. I took several pictures of them in various outdoor settings so that you could really appreciate the detail in bright light and direct sunlight. Honestly, these are probably one of the most realistic looking artificial plants/trees out there. Norfolk Island Pines have a very distinctive structure. So provided you take the time to shape them properly, they will fool many into believing they are real – especially when used as indoor plants. Even their soft-to-the touch texture feels like a real Norfolk Island Pine. But I do think these pines are best suited for indoor use. The branches are very supple, so heavy weather conditions could beat them up. In fact, even while I was photographing the pines on my deck (a solid flat surface), moderate breezes kept knocking one or both over. If you do want to use them outside, you will definitely need to sink the small cemented pots into larger planters and add some weighted substrate (such as decorative rock) to give the pines needed stability. Even for indoor use, I recommend using decorative planters – both for stability and to give these pines an even more realistic potted look. You will need to spend about 20 minutes shaping each pine. Norfolk Island Pine branches grow in a very flat, structured, lateral fashion. So you’ll want to bend down each main branch so that it rises at a shallow angle from the trunk. Then you’ll want to spread out all the “branch-lets” on each branch in as flat a fashion as possible – so they are all on the same horizontal plane as the branch itself. This will help add maximum realism to the pines. One additional comment: as nice as these pines look, they will not make good Christmas trees. As noted, the branches are very supple and will not support ornaments or even string lights. They can work as winter pine trees for holiday décor that you could, for example, highlight with spot lights. But I wouldn’t recommend using them as traditional artificial Christmas trees that you decorate.

I ordered the "FOTEEWL 5-Foot Faux Norfolk Pine Trees (2)" in my continuing effort to replace real plants with faux plants in our backyard. My wife and I have found that today's artificial plants have reached a stage where they are far more realistic. Additionally, many are now suitable to be placed outdoors with their increased resistance to harsh weather conditions and fading. The two Norfolk pine trees are about 60-inches tall. When placed outside, we're able to increase their height by at least another 12 inches or more, depending on the size of the pot we use to display them.I like the realistic coloration of these Norfolk pines. As you can see in my photos, they are a mixture of lighter and darker colors, as one would find with newer and more mature growth. The product page states that the faux trees are made of plastic -- but it's a soft plastic that is rubber-like to the touch, similar to the feeling of silicone or "real touch," which mimics the movement, look, and feel of real plants. That's a big plus for this type of artificial plant, made to endure being outside. The 5-foot version arrives in two sections and requires some "fluffing." I still need to do more shaping of the tree. I also need to strengthen the fit of the two sections, which is somewhat looser than I like to have with our frequent windy conditions. Overall, I recommend the two Norfolk pines, especially if you're looking to substitute faux plants for real plants. Time will tell if they are as durable as promised.

These pine trees are a very nice quality, some of the best we have seen. Assembly was easy, but the top wants to bend over so it took some work to get it to keep straight. The photo doesn't give it justice, I can't fluff, my wife did it after the fact and it looks great now. There was some off-gassing, we sat them in the garage for a day.

These two trees are so realistic unless you touch them you will not know they are artificial. They arrive in a good size box, each tree in two pieces. It takes seconds to put the pieces together. Once together there will be fluffing needed unless you prefer an upscale Charlie Brown tree hehe. Speaking of the CB tree, these are perfect for inside during the holidays. I will be flanking my fireplace come November. I will also be getting new pots, which are not necessary but will add more character. If putting them outside I would avoid it if they will be near where it receives a lot of wind if you keep them only with the pots they come in. Otherwise they will be fine. For the price point, these are exceptional. If you have a large home or say church to decorate getting a few sets can’t be beat!!

These are good looking trees. The pines are shaped well and evenly, and they look good from a distance but also up close. The green is not too dark and not too bright. Just looks clean and natural. They arrived well packed and fluffed out easily once I got them set up. The only issue is the pots. They are so light they do not keep the trees stable on their own. I dropped them into heavier planters to keep them from tipping with the wind. No big deal, but something to plan for. Once secured they look great by the door. An easy way to make the front porch look a little more completed with no worry about watering or trimming. Worth it if you would like evergreen without the work.

LOVE! They go so well in the little faux forest vibe I am creating on my patio. They're pretty tall as well. Very very soft too touch, and not hard to assemble with the two pieces. You'll need to figure out what direction makes them look fuller at the top when stretching the limbs out.
