This is a lot bigger than my other kitchen scale that measures about the same maximum weight, but it is also way more sensitive. I don't know that I would trust its accuracy down to the thousandth of a gram like it says it measures, but it does seem to be very sensitive. I tested it out a little bit when I first received it, and it calibrated nicely and easily with the included weight, but then it seemed to be slightly inaccurate when I did some testing. For example, I added another item to the scale, hit tare, and then added back the calibration weight, and it did was a couple hundredths of a gram off when I tested it. When I removed the other item and hit tare again, it once again accurately measured the calibration weight. So I wouldn't trust this in an application where minute precision was paramount.That being said, it is way more than accurate enough to use for things like measuring cooking ingredients. I will use it to precisely measure ingredients for meat curing and sausage making, and it will be super for that.Things I don't love - I don't love that you have to either plug it in or use a 9v battery. I don't love that it didn't come with instructions about how to calibrate it (I figured it out, but still, for the price, I expected a manual).

I ordered this scale to support several precision tasks, including compounding custom powder mixes, measuring 2-part resin, and counting prescriptions to ensure accurate usage. It features a count function to estimate quantity based on unit weight—extremely helpful when working with bulk items or when pouring out contents and needing a reliable total.The included calibration weight is critical for dependable accuracy. While there isn’t a tool provided to handle the calibration weight without touching it directly, this is easily addressed by using gloves or tweezers. It’s not a flaw, just something to keep in mind to prevent slight inaccuracies due to skin oils. The collapsible draft shield is well-designed and easy to assemble and disassemble, which is perfect for someone like me who stores the scale between uses.One helpful note: the scale does not include weighing boats, essential for measuring powders or small volumes of liquid. It's important to have on hand if you plan to begin using it right away. Overall, this scale is an excellent, professional-grade instrument—truly solid and built to last.

Great precision for the 480 gram capacity. Comes with a 200g calibration weight and the calibration is pretty good out of the box and you can calibrate it if you want the best accuracy. This is a big format scale so you'll need some room on your bench. The plastic wind isolation enclosure is pretty basic - you just lift the lid. It is needed if you want to take advantage of the 1mg precision because the value will float around if there is any air movement. No provision for side access. I might 3d print a modification to us a trickler. Whether you need to dole out medication or are reloading for precision, this is a good unit.

It has a very large minimum weight change to register. Fine if you just want to weigh something but useless if you want to trickle to weight. It seems to be accurate but it all depend on how you add the weight. This is a function of the filtering system. Not useful for anykind of dispensing work. Saddly it went back. You can not use the cover as even with the dry sheet I could not get the static off it and it would actually lift the balance tray up by .003grams. Load it, wait for stability, close the lid and the static charge on the lid/load pan will actually lift the pan.

Scale was inoperable right out of the box. Calibration did nothing. Unfortunately I was assembling supplies for my lab so I hadn't attempted to use before the return window expired. I have an expensive paperweight nowUpdate**** Even though this product was well without side of the warranty window (I was collecting lab supplies long before setup) The company emailed ME and offered a replacement and or refund. That customer service alone speaks well enough to give them another try.

I found the scale not fitting my application needs. The customer service was very prompt and resolved my issue. Great for a two digit accuracy.
