I don't review often but in this case I feel obligated to do so. The reason I had to replace my old actuator is because the latch cable snapped. After I installed the new actuator the locking part wouldn't function. After hours of trying to troubleshoot the issue I decided to rip the new actuator out and test the functionality of the locking mechanism off the car. Turned out the new actuator was defective. I highly recommend avoiding this item and buy OEM. If you don't and buy an aftermarket part make sure both cables move the mechanisms freely.

Mazda 3 Actuator fit and works with the exception of the lock. It will lock/unlock from the inside but it will not lock/unlock from the outside using the key.
