Well designed and made. It is a nice upgrade on the previous FSA Orbit 1.5B item originally specified for my mtb. Installs as a direct replacement but I did need to remove a spacer from the stack as the bearing cap height is different.

Placed my order on the 23rd, and received here in the Philippines by morning of the 27th. Courier was courteous, item is of good quality from FSA.The original FSA headset in my Orca was already worn out, I only used the 2 sealed bearings and the golden aluminum center lockout shim from this FSA Orbit, and its fitting is spot on.👍👍👍😊

I bought this set to install on my GT Avalanche XL. The parts included are suitable to convert from the loose ball bearings to a sealed bearing except the bottom bearing and race was missing the 1.5” to 1 1/8” adapter (split ring collar). I had to buy a different set to obtain the parts I needed. This isn’t a straightforward upgrade as nearly every bike store I visited was unsure about what parts to use and the GT documentation is missing required data / measurements. It is possible but you will need everything in this set, an additional 1.5 to 1.125 (1 1/8) bottom adapter. Will need to remove the crown race from the fork, and the bearing cups from the head and use a threaded rod, washers and nuts to install the new cups. I’m a mechanic so it wasn’t too bad once I had all the parts but for the average joe it’s doable but expect a little frustration.

The product is of very good quality. Easy to install and adjust. Much better than my previous thrust bearing headset. Suggest to check the drawing shown in the description of the product as it does not come with similar instructions in the package.

Standard headset, comes stock on a lot of bikes. I get about 1 year out of the bearings replacement normally. Cheaper to buy the whole headset than find the right bearings.

My 2015 KHS 650 6500 mountain bike had old school loose balls in an open cage for header bearings. Every time I removed the fork I’d lose a few. Ordered this which includes sealed cartridge bearings that drop in and now I can forget about my old concerns. The head is smooth as glass and considerably more rigid. Best money I’ve spent on the bike.
