Who would have thought you can fall in love with a kitchen utencil? I love this little garlic press.First the appearance: it looks like an expansive jewelry box with the shiny chrome top and crystal clear acrylic base. The design is appealing and is something I plan to display on the kitchen counter in plain sight.Next the quality: As soon as you pick this up you realize the quality of materials. It is very heavy and gives you the immediate feedback of a quality built item. The blades are very sharp and spaced exactly perfect for even cutting of your garlic cloves. The 2 options for cutting is only available on high end garlic presses. Get one for your home and you can also experience the luxury of an elegant garlic chopper.

This small garlic press is pretty nice. From its looks to function, it is a better than average garlic press, although I don't believe it is designed to press a full clove, it does have the ability to press your garlic into two different sizes of garlic pieces. When pressing the garlic, it goes into the bottom which is a collection box, and you can use this to store the garlic for several days before having to discard it. The skin of the clove separates easily and can be removed sometimes with a bit of effort but it is not too difficult. The garlic press is attractive and well made, and provides higher functionality than any other garlic press I've owned. I do sometimes have difficulty pressing the garlic if there's more than one clove piece in the press, but this is not usually an issue.I think the collection box at the bottom is an amazing feature and I wish more presses were made with this very convenient attachment.

This garlic slicer epitomizes the idea that good things come in small packages. We use a lot of garlic, smashing it, slicing it, mincing it. When I saw this little chopper, I thought it might be too good to be true. But nope -- it works great! If you've ever sliced garlic, you know that it takes time. This thing does it (evenly!) in one second. I am the household hero of the week. The columns of garlic aren't to be dismissed, either. They pop through the cutting grid equally fast. If we needed something finer, we could mince from that point, but so far, we've been thrilled with the garlic as-is. The included image shows the sliced garlic on the left and the grid garlic on the right, both "chopped" at the same time. The box and components feel very sturdy -- not at all cheap in any way. It has come through the dishwasher without a hitch. We store processed garlic in this, in the fridge. We can still smell it when we open the fridge door, so be aware of that if "odor free" is important to you. But it's subtle enough to not warrant any star deduction, and I can't rule out that somebody didn't have garlic on their hands when they picked up the box. And the lid does show fingerprints, so you'll need to wipe those off like you would other stainless steel kitchen equipment. We will use this daily and love every minute of it. Recommend it highly!

This is a very well-designed and -made garlic chopper/slicer with a hermetically-sealed storage bin. The 304 stainless-steel lid and parallel slicing & square dicing cutters assure odors and soil are easily dispatched.I was not so keen to see the bin made from some kind of (maybe ABS) plastic. It remains to be seen whether that plastic can absorb and retain odors or is sufficiently hard to resist that. I would feel better if the bin was made from glass which can be as odor resistant as the stainless steel. If this concern is realized, I will later update this review. .As for the physical construction, it is quite impressive! The top working area is sufficiently hefty to make the thing feel very strong and the parallel slicer and and square grids that push the garlic through the cutters are very nicely made and firm. The side-mounted hinges feel perfectly tight, no sloppiness there. There is a different kind of plastic in the upper lid to help seal the bin when used to store garlic. That gasket is harder than I expected but the top of the storage bin is sheathed in stainless-steel and appears to really seal the inside when closed. For all I know that top gasketing is a hard kind of silicone, but no matter what it is the cover appears to seal the bin top very effectively. The entire assembly is kind of petite, but more than enough to store a lot of garlic or ginger and that petite size means it will take up little room in your refrigerator. This device is definitely not a Chevrolet, it more like a Cadillac product and we are impressed with its form, fit, function, and esthetics!

The quality of this garlic press is really good! It feels solid and well made. I like the stainless steel design, and the built-in storage container is a nice touch. It's also easy to clean and dishwasher safe, which is a plus. It works great for garlic and slices it very thin, just as advertised. However, I bought it hoping to use it for small onions or other veggies as well, and it’s just too small for anything besides garlic. The name and description made it sound a bit more versatile than it actually is. If you're only planning to use it for garlic or ginger, it’s a great tool. But if you're looking for a mini chopper that handles more than that, this isn’t the one. I wish the product listing had made that more clear. That said, for its specific purpose, it performs really well. I’ll keep it for garlic prep, but I still need to find a more versatile mini chopper for other kitchen tasks.

This cutter is cute and well made but not for me. I am a garlic freak and always add garlic to salads and sandwiches. I love the taste of garlic as much as I love its huge health benefits. For salads and sandwiches I need minced garlic and this little machine cuts the garlic in chunks which may be good for cooking. In order to get all the benefits, garlic must be eaten raw not cooked so I don't think I will ever use this cutter. I'll stick to my garlic press.
