I live in the south and of course our summers are incredibly hot. Plus they’re hard on my dog when we’re outside playing for the day. So I bought this actually for both of us when we go out on the golf cart and play at the dog park. They’re nice and light and easy to carry with you. I get it a little wet and put one around my neck and one on her neck and they definitely help cool us both off.

These “cooling towels”, as they call them, are really disappointing when you see them in person. For one thing, they are not anything close to being a “towel”. The material feels very much like an ultra thin windbreaker material. Sewn between the 2 layers of fabric feels like tiny beads - like the ones you find in those moisture absorbing packets. There aren’t a lot of these beads, just enough that I noticed them.To use these cooling towels, you wet them, wring them out, and then “snap” them to activate the cooling feature (which I’m guessing has to do with these tiny beads located inside). Maybe the “snapping” of the towel distributes the beads around so they aren’t all in one clump. Maybe the beads hold some of the water and that is what acts as a cooling effect. I’m just guessing about this from my observations while trying out these “cooling towels”. I can’t say for sure and they don’t elaborate on how these are suppose to work.The cost of these, at the time of this review, is about $1.36 per item. That’s pretty cheap and I suppose you get what you pay for. It hasn’t gotten that warm yet where I live to find out if these actually cool you off at all. I’ll come back and update this review if I discover anything of interest concerning these “cooling towels”.
