This has a Bluetooth device built into it! I thought it was odd that they wanted you to install an app to "play along" with this equipment during your exercise. But once I received it and saw the instructions, I realized that this actually has a switch in it to register when you compress it and that switch will interact with the app. So this really does have an interactive app to use in your workout! The weight is adjustable from 10 to 130 pounds. Believe me, it really does have that diversity. It takes an awful lot of turning that screw to adjust it all the way, but it happily adjusts all the way from "works out by itself" to "help me, mommy" difficulty. It helps to manually spread the grip when adjusting it to take pressure off the screw. The Bluetooth device must be charged with a USB-C cable. There is no charge indicator light. Like it's not a real device or something. The app says it's available on the Android Play store, but it doesn't seem to be there. It has likely been removed by Google. The website has it available for download but the website is Chinese and at this point, I just don't trust the Bluetooth device or the app.I did not install the suspicious Chinese app on my phone. I'll continue using the exercise aspect of the equipment on its own. This is a shame. The game aspects in the ad look super fun and I absolutely love the concept of it!The fitness device has comfortable silicone grips and is made of a very tough lightweight plastic (ABS?). It's very solid and is an outstanding build. The exception is the knob on the adjuster screw. It's cheap plastic and has a cheap chrome trim behind it. This doesn't bother me. It's not a part that receives a lot of handling and therefore shouldn't wear out. It has a metal screw inside so that shouldn't be a problem either. For those that really care, mine is the powder blue color and it looks exactly like the picture.

This review is for the one blue grip.Included is a pretty poor instruction sheet. Surprisingly, there is no charging cable. The wife is looking to strengthen her hand strength, and I decided to get this to see if it could help. Although the device is pretty easy to use, there is an obvious lack of instructions other than information on downloading the app, which as others have said, does not exist on the Google play store. I do not know about the Apple store, but the third option which goes to some unknown brands website to download files onto your phone or tablet, I would not recommend. There is no way to know what type of security or stability issues that you could be subjecting yourself or your phone to. With this app not existing on Google play, it tells me that there are issues with the app that google would not allow it to be published on their site. With that being said, we would not use the app on a regular basis even if it was on Google play. I would add that the Bluetooth connect button is not in a good location as it easy to accidentally hit the connect button when doing the exercises by squeezing the handles together, which would most likely affect the connection to the app.In addition, there are no instructions on which direction to turn the knob to change the tension level and the +/- indicator on the button itself is very hard to see. Initially, I could not tell much difference when I turned the knob, but it does seem to gradually increase the tension for the grip. It would have been nice if this had a selector knob that actually gave an indication of the level of tension you have selected other than just a vague guess of what it is. I doubt that the spring has a 130-pound level of tension, but for my wife, the tension was plenty. The hand grip made of silicone is comfortable in the hand when holding and using. The grooved handle makes holding onto the grip comfortable to use. The spring appears to be decent quality and should hold up with repeated use. My biggest concern though is the plastic hinge metal pins that hold the handle together as the grip seems stable, but the most likely point of failure would be those pins. It is unknown how strong those pins are. At higher grip levels, the handle has a bit of sideways movement, which puts addition pressure on the hinge pins. For a basic grip strengthener this would be ok, although the long-term durability is in question with the hinge. However, one of the points of this grip is the app, which is unavailable on google, unusable on Apple, and a security risk if you download direct, which like others have said, I do not recommend. In reality, I am not too sure how helpful an app would be even if it was available and works as advertised. An app is not always needed for everything. As a basic grip strengthener, this is ok, but there are better quality options as durability of the hinge is a concern. The exercise app is an interesting idea that is poorly implemented. Skip the app, it is not worth the security risk.3 stars

This product is genuinely entertaining! I’ve never found a workout tool more fun than this. It has multiple games at different difficulty levels, so you can easily tailor the experience to your fitness needs. The setup was super simple. After downloading the app, you can switch it to English right away. Then, just create a username and password and connect the Bluetooth (there is a button in the handgrip that you push to send the Bluetooth signal ). It synced quickly without any issues. From there, you can enjoy the game-based workouts and use them as both a training tool and a form of entertainment. It’s innovative and fun, and I think it’s suitable for any age. It does the job; definitely recommended!
