Several people complained that the light is not stable on its stand. It is stable if you remove the black rubber cover from the 1/4-20 stand top screw (see photos). If you remove the cover, the light will fit all the way down on the top stud, and the light will clamp securely to the stand.Review of the light: First of all, I would buy this again. It is a great value. Why 4 stars? While it's good that a stand is included, the stand is too small for a light this big. If you add some weight to the legs, the stand is OK. I am not impressed with the all plastic clamp; too easily broken. There is no easy way to power this with a battery since its input voltage is 30V. Most batteries are 12 to 20 volts. It is possible to rig up a DC to DC converter, but that's more trouble than it's worth.What I do like: Big light that puts out a wall of light. Digital readout so it is easy to repeat light and color settings. Comes with a nice case. Great value. Nice that they include a stand, even though it's not big enough.

This is an unbelievable light for the price. Much larger than I expected actually. Dimmer and temperature controls work well. I did notice some reviews that mentioned how light weight the stand was. This is designed for YouTube videos and very low budget productions. Suggest using a sandbag with the stand or swap it out for something beefier, If you are on a higher budget production.. The bag is canvas and sturdy. There is a zipper pocket for the accessories like the remote control, power cord, iPhone holder, etc. Very happy with this purchase.

I needed a ring light for starting video series for you tube channel. The box came in time and intact. Product details below:Pros: can customize the light tone. Ranges from super white to orange color. I kept adjusting it to get the best skin tone I wanted. It’s is super bright and made of quality materials. Easy to install and stable on the floor. The stand can go high or low according to my needs. Nice carrying bag. Clicker works fine and easy to pair with phone.Cons: it only works from short distance. If it’s more than 3 yards away, the effect is significantly less. Also, I didn’t know how to place the phone in vertical position for the portrait mode.Overall, it will serve me needs for the channel videos. Example shown in picture while my son was taking pictures for himself while I was turning the light on and off. The pictures are raw (using iPhone Xs Max, regular photo mode) and not edited in any way.
