Only had it for a short while. Battery seems to last well if you only start the app intermittently.The manual and faq indicate the sensors are easily broken by fingers and I wish it had come with a case or similar.I use it on powerboat before going sailing but will get a small tube to mount it to my dinghy stern as well (mast top is not an option on this dinghy)

Downloaded app. Worked first time out of the box. Then never again. App showed low battery. Fully charged it. Then unit started reading 119 kts of wind sitting on top of my car sitting in the driveway. Tried reloading app. Tried updating software. Nothing worked. No help. Set up return. Seller did not pay for shipping. Seller has never returned phone calls asking about refund status. It has been almost a month. I’m out all the money. Save yourself the headache and do not buy this item.

For most of those needing accurate timely wind direction and velocity info, this unit works and works well. However, they advertise it as REAL TIME , and it certainly is NOT that. The lag can be as little as 4-5 seconds, or as much as 20! To the average person, this might qualify as "real time" but not for a shooter. A 4 second lag is an eternity during which conditions may change 3 times. A 1-2 second lag would have been useable, but this unit wasn't able to deliver updates at that level.
