Holds the horn well. I've gigged with this stand for about 3 years now and I've thought about replacing it many times. The problem I have with it has to do with the plastic parts in the construction that don't integrate well with the metal. There is a 'cap' to the main square tube from which the top yoke part telescopes out. This cap seems to be 'friction fit' into the tube; when the top yoke part is extended, the cap pops out just enough so that the locking holes don't line up - I have to shove that piece back in place every time I open the stand. Also - and this is more frustrating - the plastic part on the bottom yoke also is loose so I have to do some funky gyrations with it to line the spring up internally to get that part to work. Lastly, the whole thing has loosened up with use. Still works fine, but I can't say I have total confidence in it.UPDATE: I'll keep the stars the same, but last night this stand bit me hard - bloody hell. It's a pinch hazard. The review stars stay the same because I still haven't replaced it; it's lasted a good long time.
