I do a lot of walking on different surfaces, stair climbing, ladder climbing, and just general moving about, all day at work. I wear these hiking boots all day and they are very comfortable.

My first pair of Hi Tec boots were phenomenal and lasted 20 years. I recently bought a replacement pair and in less than a year they began to fall apart. I sent pictures to their customer service as requested and they completely stopped communicating with me. Absolutely terrible. Used to be a good company until they became greedy and outsourced to China.

I would have been happy if I paid $59.99 but for $23. Quality boots. I miss the old basic Nylon and Suede design though. They dont make them anymore.

I bought this product cuz I'm a big fan of high-tech boots products. I liked the orange accents in the style. I had to put insoles in right away and they just don't feel right. I do use the boots for yard work now and it works for that. It is a man-made material and it looks all right, I'll make sure I buy leather going forward. And maybe if you buy this try a little bigger size, it feels a little narrow.

The boot is adequately made, particularly for the under-fifty dollar price. But as many reviews are saying, they have a big issue with sizing. They are in fact, a narrow cut boot. And a problem that I saw no mention of, is the width of the tongue. There is either not enough material going around the ankle/leg area, or the tongue is way too skinny, because I cannot lace these boots snug enough to even hide my socks above the instep! And the foot bed is just too narrow to be a "D" or medium width. The tongue should be fully gusseted on a "hiking" boot anyway. That would have taken care of showing off your socks to everyone at least. I am disappointed in Hi Tec on this one!

The fit was great in the length but way too narrow to be comfortable. I hated to return these boots, because they are obviously a very high quality product. Except for the fit, they would be perfect for me. Please consider making "wide" sizes available.
