I don't know much about punch needle art but I really think this is a nice kit for beginners. The image is simple and there is plenty of yarn to complete the project. It all seems good quality too. In fact I ordered a similar kit off of Etsy and paid about twice as much....and the quality looks to be the same. So save yourself the money and order this one!

Great kit for beginners interested in punch needling! It came with everything I needed to get started (the fabric, yarn, and clear instructions.) The design was super cute and I love the contrast of the oranges/yellows and blues. I would consider this a craft for older kiddoes and adults. The tools are a little sharp and the yarn can be difficult to untangle and manage.

I really enjoyed this punch needle, though it had a much larger needle than I'm used to. It was easy to thread and to follow the pattern. All of the colors had some left over, the orange ran out before I was done. Thankfully the thread was puffy enough to hide the missing thread, but you can tell on the side you're punching through. It's a cute rug-like decoration that took about 2 hours to finish.

I was curious about punch needling because I just tried a really fun cross-stitch, and this seemed like a good beginner set. It came with all the thread, the punch needle tool, a threading tool, embroidery fabric, an 8" embroidery hoop and 1 sheet of VERY simple "instructions". My favorite thing about this set was the embroidery hoop had a ridge that helped grip the fabric in place, making it just a touch easier to manipulate and keep taut than a standard wooden embroidery hoop. however, the instructions are virtually non-existent. it provides detailed instructions on how to thread the punch needling tool, but nothing else on how to actually punch needle. never having punch needled before, I had to youtube it first so I could understand how far to punch the needle, how to continue the thread forward, how to finish off a color or a spool of thread, etc. it wasn't hard to do, but the instructions simply don't tell you any valuable information to actually COMPLETE the project. my only other criticism is that the colors of the set were more vibrant than depicted; i really liked the periwinkle/blue of the night sky and the thread that came with it was more of a bright cobalt - so just don't get too attached to the exact colors before you purchase. overall, i'm happy with it and am excited to finish this fun little project.

This punch needle crafting kit comes with all the supplies needed to make a pretty picture while learning punch embroidery. I think I will enjoy it. However. I could smell that smell even before I opened the shipping bag. Bug spray? Chinese factory? Whatever it was, I threw the kit into the garage until it can stop being stinky.

This is a beautiful punch needle kit. The design is simple but it makes a statement. This kit is perfect for the beginner. Everything needed to complete this project is included in the box. All of the material is high quality. I wanted this for my daughter since she has some down time coming up after surgery. She is going to love this project and she'll be pleased with the finished picture. This would be a great gift for a friend or loved one for Christmas, birthday, get well, Mother's Day or whatever occasion you might be celebrating.
