Hv any of u noticed, that when a product is truly good, or has authentically surprised most of the consumers, most of the reviews are quite in-depth and long. People will go into the details of all the things that impressed them in their purchase and all the things it did well. Or all the things that essentially made it worth the purchase. I knew that after reading all the reviews, from at least 4 or 5 brands selling these tools, all which are very similar in size and specs, thru-out Amazon , that these little hand planes were going to be a great buy!! Yes, there are bad reviews! There always will be! You can’t make everyone happy all of the time, so bad reviews are inevitable. And honestly, after reading a lot of them, I chalk up a lot of them to, 1. even if they got a good tool, they’d write a bad review regardless. Or 2. There’s some serious incompetency going on here. lol! Moving on, I will not go into detail on why I gave this plane a 5 star review. Everyone writing before me has already said it!! “Out of the box it’s project ready” “for under $20 how can u possibly buy something like this” “craftsmanship and quality is nuts” “the iron is sharp and ready”. Ok I wasnt gonna go there but I did. There u go, Those would he some of the reasons I give it a high rating!! Among many more that I could list but will not. My 2cents to the person still mulling over buying this hand plane….???? Effin do it!!! Hv u read all the reviews!!??? Pretty obvious this tool is stupid good!

I'm a professional cabinetmaker/woodworker and wasn't expecting anything grandotios to begin with,just a lil plane for odd jobs and small parts. Seems machined and put together well for the price. Only disappointment was I ordered a standard and a limited edition model hoping the limited edition would be cool like a different wood or design ,the standard and the limited edition were exactly the same product numbers and all just the limited edition was a few bucks more :(

It is a small hand plane but it does function well for champers and for extremely small pieces of wood. But honestly for the price it's a fun tool to have.
