Their ad is deceptive as they state this actuator will lift 660lbs. I added it to my crane for lifting granite pieces off my trailer. I only need the actuator to raise the boom and my winch could takeover from there. I was installing an island that was ( and I’m being generous ) 450 lbs at best. So I raised the boom and moved it into position. Then I used the winch to lower my clamp. Then I used the winch to pick up the island. It got about four inches above my aframe tray and we were about to swing it out when the actuator completely gave way. Luckily for us the island and both of us were unscathed. Let me repeat” LUCKILY”. If the island had broken I would have had to buy another slab and fabricate it again at my expense. We would have been approaching the two grand mark at that point. And if one of us was also hurt they would also have been loss of productivity. Their ad also claims the actuator is IP 65 rated but when it ariived the manual said IP 54. I am still using one of the two I purchased because it is (so far) handling the tasks given it (though barely). DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! Unless you just need something to slide open your hen house door. That’s really about all I can see it handling.

This is a really nice actuator, I have it working for a moveable solar panel that is quite heavy and mounted on hinges. This works reliably and smoothly and has no problem moving it. I have it setup this way to help better track sun angles and remove snow load. I recommend!

For a "budget" linear actuator, this seems to be a good choice. Specifications for closed length (hole to hole), travel, and open length are very close but not exact (+/- a couple of mm). Travel speed is accurate under no load. I was unable to confirm maximum operating capacity, but the actuator didn't even slow down under my 200 lb. weight-it's quite powerful. The motor and gear housing are assembled with gaskets so it should be good for outdoor use, as advertised. The mounting brackets are plated steel and I do expect them to rust over time. I may paint them to slow down the process.The gearbox is slightly noisier than other actuators I've used and the sound is oscillating, but I find that acceptable for a linear actuator in this price range.If you haven't used linear actuators before, they are great for a multitude of applications and are much more economical than hydraulics or pneumatics. I intend to use this one to raise and lower the ROPS (Roll Over Protection System} bar on my tractor using a momentary reversing switch.I will modify this review if I have any issues, but I am expecting good performance. Time will tell.I recommend this product.
