Although I previously had a similar clock, this one didn't work out for me. First of all, it was hard to read where I had placed it because of the sun's reflection on the curved plastic. Then, after running about a week with a new battery, it just stopped working. I wound up replacing with a much more expensive Dali-esque style mantle clock.

The clock looks great, it's surprisingly easy to read despite the distortion. From among all the similarclocks I saw on Amazon, this one looked most like the ones the artist painted. Although it's not silent, as advertised. It sounds like a tiny locomotive, quite audible when it's quiet, noticeable 15 feet away.it sounds like a tiny locomotive; each second is a "chug-ah-chug-ah. So, 5 seconds is like "chug-ah-chug-ah/chug-ah-chug-ah/chug-ah-chug-ah/chug-ah-chug-ah/chug-ah-chug-ah".I don't mind it, but I wouldn't put it in my bedroom or seat a guest next to it.

Got this for my brothers birthday, he’s a huge Dali fan. He was absolutely blown away by it. I do wish it were a bit bigger, but my brother loved it and immediately put it on his desk, so a winner in my book!

El reloj es completamente silencioso y se ve muy bonito en mi chimenea, aunque siento que es un poco pequeño se pierde un poco en los lugares amplios. Pero en general me gustó mucho

The clock I received runs silent. No ticking sound whatsoever. It's just your right size too because I appreciate it more than my wife does so it ended up on the table next to my living room chair. I can still see it. it's subtle and unique. Plus the price was right too.

Was afraid it might be cheesy but am very pleased with this purchase. Great effect, and I like the muted paint color and somewhat matte finish on the frame. Having a cat, I did take the advice of other reviewers and use a Command strip to secure this to the bookshelf. This was a gift from me to me and I love it!

Definitely a cool looking clock which totally captures the feel and image of Dali's famous melted clocks. The one downside is that this may be the loudest ticking clock I have ever owned. I was planning to put it in my office or bedroom, but it's just too loud, and the incessant ticking would drive me crazy.
