Make sure that you look at the right part. I measured and because I live in an old house the pipe was 1 3/4 and someone in another review said to measure and make sure what your ordering.

Don’t bother …..this is a odd size and will not in a 1 1/4 or a 1 1/2” pipe

Fit my old clawfoot tub perfectly with no leaks or adaptive devices. Removed the above floor trap also though not sure I should have. Had to cut one horizontal pipe slightly shorter to fit in space.

Only one I could find that was 1 3/8 to fit my hundred year old tub. Looks & works great.

Drain shoe completely seized on the threaded pipe. Not sealed, leaks like crazy, can’t disassemble to apply PTFE tape. I’ve tried every trick the internet has to offer, and it will not budge.Utterly useless and a complete waste of time.Update: I was able to finally get it off by wrapping the chrome pipe with ten layers of duct tape, locking the shoe in a vice, and using a pipe wrench. The threads appear to be partially glued?! It looks like pipe dope that wasn’t properly applied.

Most important piece of this review is, if you have anything but a Old Clawfoot tub or a Cast Iron tub this product is not for you. But in my case this was a savior. When you research online you will find that standard pipe size for a Tub in the US is 1" 1/2 which is totally fine, so I purchased a kit made of brass and after disassembling my current system that was leaking due to an old gasket (20y old at least), to my surprise it didnt fit, and the walls of the existing waste pipe was thinner than he Brass one I had purchased. The biggest problem is that if you are not a plumber in the US for a long time you wouldn't know that in the past about 20/15 years ago, tubs used to be 1" 3/8 using copper (thinner walls).Sooo I went to a local plumbing store and a old timer mentioned that it was a 1" 3/8 that I was looking for, so I purchased something locally which didn't end up working because that kit didn't have a proper way to connect to the current system. After all of that and a very frustrated wife I landed on this product. Which worked perfectly.Other things you might want to have in hand if you want to remove existing one and actually make sure it fits and doesnt have leaks:- Plumbers Putty, since rubber and cast iron can be hard to get a good seal.- Plumbers Tape for every connection, it's a tub so you want a good seal, dont trust the factory seals on anything.- Pipe cutter that accepts up to 2in so you can cut the pipes on this kit properly.- Ridgid Plumbers 6-1 tool so you can tighten the drain- A way to remove the existing pipe and sink hole, keep in mind those will likely be super stuck because they are old.Hope this helps!

I have an old cast iron clawfoot tub that had leaks spring up and required replacing the drain. Of course, my 120-year old house didn't have the standard 1-1/2" piping that homes have now. After a few tries with other products, this kit fit perfectly. The box says the outside diameter of the piping is 1-1/8", which means the actual diameter of the piping is slightly smaller (it's thing 20 gauge pipe so the outside diameter is pretty close) but it fit absolutely perfectly. The slip nuts secured everything and the leaks disappeared.Only potential negative is the overflow gasket which features an angled design that works well for most tubs but my tub was a tad too straight and left a small gap on the bottom.

We have an old farm. The 6 foot claw foot tub began to leak at the "foot" of the drain system. This Lasco complete drain assembly fit perfectly into the space we had, connected perfectly to the tub, and had all the gaskets needed to insure a leak-free drain of this favorite tub!
