I can't believe this is so inexpensive. The camera comes with an outlet adapter, allowing me to put the camera literally anywhere in my house. The camera really only took 2 minutes to connect to my WIFI and get is filming. The image quality is shockingly great, I can use the app to move the camera to view the entire space and even zoom in. I am very pleased and ended up ordering a few more. I did not subscribe to the data package so am not informed about how that part of the product functions. So far, I have no complaints, but it is also the first actual security camera I have ever had.

This is a good camera. I took my chances seeing many like it on Amazon twice, triple the cost. I didn’t expect much for $10. But I like it a lot. The platform you download in the App Store is great quality and very customizable. I use it on my porch and back porch. You can tweak many settings, use an SD card or purchase cloud or continuous filming subscriptions. The fees are reasonable if you decide to go that route. Two neighbors and a relative have already asked me for the purchase link. When they question the price point and ask to see the app and image quality, they are surprised. I hope it continues to function properly and the price doesn’t jump dramatically so I can continue recommending it. I uploaded examples of the imagery for both morn, day and night.

I first tried this light bulb security camera outdoor. It was easy to installation the light bulb security camera and the app was also easy to setup. The camera gave great footage. I was able to zoom in and capture crisp and clear footage day and night. It detected human movement and send real-time alerts quickly. The two-way audio was a little muffled. Set up with the Alexa app was easy. Through Alexa voice commands lights shuts on & off. have problems sometimes. The plus for me was the capability to store footage using Flash Memory Type Mircro SD Card 128 G can be used for storage.

This is a fairly good quality security camera for the price, and has many of the features you would expect. Setup is easy; you download the app, and it autodiscovers the camera and sets it up to connect to your wifi network. They do try to upsell you on cloud services, but it is easy to decline, and I wasn't bothered about it afterwards. The standout feature of this camera is how it's powered; you can either plug it in directly to a power outlet or, if you unscrew the bottom, you can put it in a standard recepticle for a lightbulb. This could come quite in handy if you have somewhere you need to monitor that has lighting but no electrical outlets. The app has the standard features you would expect (recording, screenshots, controls for pan/tilt, etc.) and is quick and responsive.A couple minor annoyances:- The pan and tilt controls did suffer from gimbal lock as you neared the enge of its range of motion. if you continue panning to the right, it will eventually reach its limit and stop; if you want to go further, you will have to pan 360° to the left.- The voice prompts during setup are quite loud and can be a bit startling if you're not expecting them; but that's obviously a one-time thing. The images and video captured by this are of exceptional quality for a $25 camera.

The camera works surprisingly well for such an inexpensive security camera. It produces a clear HD picture with accurate colors when sufficient light is available. There are a few options regarding the recording mode when light is low or absent. When the night time infrared option is invoked the black and white video shows clear and distinct images. Storage options for recordings are a supply your own TF card (microSD) up to 128 GB size or unlimited subscription based cloud storage. The camera is operated through a proprietary app (iOS or Android based) which operated well and was stable on my Apple iOS iPhone. According to the Amazon listing and the item’s shipping box, it can also be controlled via Alexa voice commands although I was not equipped to test that. The app has a nice set of control and set up options that cover display, motion detection, recording, and the storage options. Setting the unit up through the app was fairly easy, and starts out using Bluetooth from the app to bind the camera to the phone and then selecting which WiFi band (2.4 or 5 Ghz) you wish to use for control of the camera. From there you select the camera in the app and select from options to control camera behavior, including video resolution, recording timeframes, motion detection areas and sensitivity, and use of cloud based storage or local microSD storage. I tested the device using a 128 GB microSD card and used the proprietary app. Camera control through the app was excellent. It allowed live viewing of the area the camera is currently monitoring and has a control that allows the operator to move the camera horizontally 360 degrees, and up to 90 degrees down position from a perfectly level position. The app was set to video record motion and the presence of a human in a specific zone of the image area and to video record any detected motion within the entire scene. It worked as advertised. I got the “someone is active” notification whenever I tested this and was able to playback 10 seconds of the video “event” as listed in the events list. Note that the event playback is limited to a 10 seconds view when using a microSD card as the video storage medium. If you subscribe to the cloud based storage service, you can elect a longer period of time for event playback and get a finer identification of what appeared in the event screen’s monitoring area (e.g. person, animal, car). However, you can playback the entire event by selecting the device home page in the app and then selecting the “Playback” button and then select the “SD” button about halfway down that page. You then need to move the timeline tape back to the timeframe of the event. Colored vertical lines identify the event and it’s duration. Note that the “Cloud” button is always preselected on this page by default, so you have to manually select the “SD” button. In conclusion, this unit is a bargain security camera that is robustly built, performs well, and is recommended.
