The fuse is on the wrong wire...needs to be on the positive lead.. can use hood rubber bumpers as shown in pictures as a mount point....before and after...run a ground wire to the switch..used a heavier. connector...greased the inside of the switch where the pin and connector are. Used wire conduit to protect it..Used on a 2024 Mazda Meridian CX50

This light is a game changer on my 2nd gen Tacoma. It lights up under the hood amazingly well and has made it through a whole year with a very cold winter and the thing is still stuck where I put it.No wiring issues, everything worked as it was expected. Every vehicle should have this as a part of a normal package.

Everything went smoothly, it's awesome! The sticky stuff works great on metal, but you'll need extra glue for plastic or it'll fall off. The light's smaller than I expected; it's about as long as your forearm, but super bright—perfect!

I wired these into my existing truck cap's light and they are awesome. They light up my entire bed area.

Good product nice and bright, installation does require some customization to get it right. No biggie for the DIY'ers, but if you're not handy paying a shop to install may be the better option.

I'm a mechanic by trade, I got this for my wife, it's installed with absolutely 1 tool and 1 tool only. The adhesive has held up great going strong. We've had 100+ degree weather and 5° weather, heat and cold ain't got nothing on the durability of this thing. The brightness is definitely a plus and shines everything under the hood. All you do is open your hood to turn it on and close your hood to turn it off. It's function is very simple. 100% durable.

Okay I'm a skeptical person so with the help of a pair of jumpers I connected the wires to a 9V battery. it is very bright! There is enough hardware and tape strip to mount it. I'm going to use both for safety's sake under the hood of a 88 jeep Cherokee the original reel gave up on. Definitely worth the price. Might be good for a shed with a solar hookup too.

This was easy to install and took about an hour. Remove the liner, run the wire down the hood and up the fender. Because the lead from the switch to the battery is a little short the whole install took a little longer than it should have, but still not difficult. Really lights up the engine bay at night and gives it an overall more refined look! I've only had it installed for about two months and so far the adhesion seems fine. Summer time will be the test since glue likes to soften in the heat

The led light strip is pretty good, but I had to change everything else. Had to move the fuse to the positive side where it should be and got a different switch because the one provided is junk. Also put better ends on it for the battery. Not surprising Chinese quality

The light itself is fine but I'm am concerned about the adhesive letting go with the extreme heat that is generated under my hood and having the light get caught in the fan, so I'll update this review if that happens next Summer. There is one huge safety issue with this unit in that the fuse is on the ground wire making it completely useless. You will need to cut it off and move it over the the hot wire for it to be effective otherwise there is a risk of fire should the wire short circuit. One other issue is that the spade connector on the switch is the same width as the threads on the switch itself, so you will need access to the bottom of the switch once it is in place in order to attach the spade connector from the bottom. I did not have access to the tab so I tried soldering the ground wire directly to the switch only to have the plastic shaft melt and pop off. I was able to repair the switch but it's something to keep in mind. I ended up using a bullet connector which easily fit through the mounting hole.
