It looks more cast in person than the picture. Its not super light like I hoped. The seat isn’t that comfortable. There’s similar products available for half the price.

Nice, light and reliable but you need a thicker seat cover

Since there are free returns with prime, I ordered both the Alpha and the Assault and will be returning the Assault. Tried them both out in trees and decided for the pound extra and the minimal size difference that the alpha gave me more room and felt better for my large feet. Two of the pictures are comparing the size difference, two are of the weight difference, and the last one is the alpha with all included straps as well as three Lone Wolf climbing sticks with the included straps. I’ve never felt very comfortable in a climber stand and am psyched to use this system this season along with my ladder stands. Super stable, a breeze to set up – first time took less than 10 minutes to set up two sticks and the stand. Awesome product, very satisfied with the purchase. Very solid construction, lightweight, quiet, love how secure the sticks feel when climbing up the tree and how secure the stand feels once in it.

Bottom line, love the stand / bring extra padding if sitting down for long periods.Been out in this stand more than a few times now. Easy to set up (15-30 min for me) and tear down...May be able to be faster with more practice. Packages up nicely for transportation and able to sling it over a large pack and carry for 509yds or so. Manage way you pack it and doesn’t get hung up on brush too much. With 4 ladder steps, didn’t find it any heavier than a climbing tree stand. For setting it up, followed techniques found on YouTube so I wasnt constantly going up and down. Worked out nicely. While in the stand, I noticed within about 2 hrs that the seat is kind of thin. After 2.5 hrs, the seat feels like you are sitting on a board...not very comfort inducing when you are trying to stay relatively still for periods of time, but an easy fix that I don’t believe detracts from stand. For safety reasons, I also fastened a 600 lbs rated ratchet strap around stand to tree...may not be ideal if always taking stand down when leaving and kind of noisy, just gotta remember to ratchet “quietly”. On the floor of the stand, I believe there is a spot that is designed to “hold” your bow (pics). Doesn’t work for me as my bow limbs are too narrow, if that is what it is designed for. The seat folds “up” when the stand is attached to tree, giving more space on platform to move around. I like that feature. What I truly despise is the “fall arrest system” or safety strap that is included with this stand. I’m somewhat familiar with climbing and rappelling but after 15 minutes of trying to comprehend grainy and unfocused photos in the fall arrest system instruction book...I tossed the included safety strap back in the box and pulled out a climbing harness and other gear I had....MUCH more effective and what I trust more....even useful to hold bow (pics). After a dozen times or so in the stand, I find a sport harness easier as I can still put on or take off cold weather clothing without coming unhooked. I did not get the impression that was possible with the included fall arrest system.

I'm newer to treestands as of last year. I had a Rivers Edge stand that weighed 21lb. Trying to hang n bang with it was a pain. I'm used to backpack hunting and I have a great Kifaru pack but even with that it was too heavy to pack in and out. Then trying to hang it was a pain. Now with this Lone Wolf it's super light! I use the EZ hang and the setup is so much easier! I went from 12 F bombs hanging a set to only a couple! That's a huge improvement! Shot my first treestand buck and first longbow buck from it yesterday. The seat pad does suck. For the price they should use a better seat. I bought the Lone Wolf Custom Gear seat and then stacked it on top of the oem seat. I'm really glad I went with this vs the smaller Assault stand. Especially wearing the Icebreaker Boot blankets. I also like to stand and look behind my tree a lot with the seat up.

I own 3 of the Alpha hang-ons and a flip top sit-climb. Lone Wolf is the only stand I'll buy going forward. I just wish they made a double ladder stand so I could take my daughter out in one. It's nice to know that no matter how long i have it, this stand will last. The cables and parts are all replaceable and the platform is bomb proof. I love this thing. Goal is to replace the other 10 steel stands we have and get a solid bakers dozen of these bad boys. Probably the most overlooked benefit of them, is how little space they take up in the truck, and hanging in the basement in the off season. Get it! you won't be disappointed.

I purchased this stand last November. It's a great stand, very light solid aluminum construction, very quiet. I had read horror stories about the seat being uncomfortable for the price, but I have no idea what these people mean. The seat is very comfortable to me, so I wouldn't worry about it. Plenty of room on this platform for my 6'2" frame and size 13 shoes. I am looking to upgrade the backpack straps though since they are not padded and fairly narrow. I already slipped some old bicycle tubing over the metal clasps on the tree straps to quieten them in case I carelessly bang them against the stand's frame. The greatest thing about this stand though is the customer service of the company. Outstanding customer service. Item was missing a couple little things like the seat cushion because I bought it "used" off Amazon Warehouse Deals. They looked up my transaction, asked me where I wanted the cushion shipped, and I had it in my hand within three days even though I had bought it used from Amazon. Just an awesome company. I'm so happy they switched manufacturing back to the USA. Thanks, guys!
