Bought this one year ago for a 4 day beach trip. Worked well, could ride waves, yada yada yada. Brought this thing out again for this years beach trip and didn’t make it through day two before the side paneling seal began stripping off. It’s now half way stripped off and hanging off the board after my 8 year old daughter was riding 3 foot waves. I’m literally writing this review on the beach as my wife is at a beach shop buying a new board. Don’t bother with this.

We used this last week at Daytona Beach, FL., to ride the waves. This body board is the best I've used and I have been using them for many years. It is built well, great price and performed as hoped for. I noticed some reviews knocked the product saying it didn't hold up well. What the reviewers aren't telling you is their kids abused the board. I witnessed this myself. A couple of kids had a similar board and were pulling each other in an area of the beach where water pooled up. The cord broke and the kid went whining to their parents saying the cord broke. The dad said "we are returning that tomorrow." Hoping I didn't get punched in the nose, I asked if he saw what his kids were doing when it broke. I knew he didn't as neither parent was paying attention to their kids. He said, "no I didn't. What difference does it make." I told him they were pulling each other across the sand using the wrist code and that was why it broke. He looked ticked at first and then asked them. When they confessed he scolded them and thanked me for telling him. If your board broke because your kids were misusing it, don't post a negative remark. It's your fault.

I purchased the 41" as a replacement, because I (a 250lbs man) broke my sisters foam board while riding waves. I wanted something I could borrow and not destroy. This board far exceeded my expectations. It is sturdy enough to support me easily and that was all I wanted. What I did not expect was the speed and maneuverability. The plastic bottom is very slick and shoots you through waves which provided a new experience for my family. Even small waves are more fun on this thing. Now some honesty, this board is a sturdier foam glued to a soft plastic bottom, if you are wanting a pro board covered in neoprene and a fiberglass bottom this is not it. For the money it is well worth it, but buyer beware all the kids and some adults are going to want one when they see it on the waves.

Ordered for my Grandson to use at the beach this year. He hasn't put it in the water yet, but it is a nice board very lightweight which is good, he can carry it easily. The bottom is nice and slick and the top has a little grip. I ordered the bright green to be seen in the water easily. I hope the wrist strap is nice and heavy duty. The reviews posted here on this product as well as the company standing behind the product is what sold me on this board.

The board quality looks good but when it comes down to it, I wont even get to find out of thats true or not. I ordered a green board, and received a pink board that I will not end up using. And it doesn't even matter if they can exchange it because I needed it for this weekend and its Thursday already. I know most of you could just deal with it and use a pink board, but im not comfortable enough with my masculinity yet to do that. So im SOL for the weekend.

I live in a beach community and my kids live and breath surfing!! I received the board and it comes with the worst leash ever! My daughter used it everyday for about a week and the board is already separating! I do not have the original box or receipt anymore, so i guess i am out of luck! I am going to try and write the company and see what they can do!

Took our green Lucky Bums Body Board to North Carolina where the waves are relatively small. It was a ton of fun to use and unlike some of the cheap boards we saw, it didn't break up. And with the tether it didn't get lost either. (One of our tubes got swept out to sea.)You can't tell it from the photo but the bottom is white and a hard smooth material that doesn't provide much friction. So you'll catch the waves and have a great ride-- even on the smaller waves.I'm a mom, by the way, and at 5'8" I'm a bit hefty at this time and I had no problem using this board, and the board had no problem with my size or my over 6 foot husband.SUMMARYGood quality board. It's suitable for adults, teens, and tweens. The tether is quality, as is the board. My only mistake was not buying two.Recommend.
