I purchased a name brand kit at a local store, but did not realize it did not come with anything to measure headspace (all I was really looking for as I had another kit around somewhere, but the funnel for some reason the only thing that was still in my canning stuff after a move) until later. I even emailed the company and was pretty much told just to eyeball it on the jars (I find it hard to see as well personally) something I mentioned in the email I didn't want to do. From there I turned to Amazon, this kit was not only way cheaper, but also was bigger! I have used all the standard tools several times and I am very happy so far!
