Park Power is a product line by Marinco. They are a top-tier brand in RV and maritime electrical shoreline connections. After some research on options for a new power inlet and power cord, Park Power (Marinco) is the best.My previous travel trailer with 30amp shoreline connection had a catastrophic failure where the cord plugs into the power inlet on the side of the trailer. I heavily suspect there was an electrical surge at the park and caused the female side of the cord to fuse to the male side of the power inlet. There was an electrical outage on our row that morning, and when we came back to find the row has power restored, our circuit breaker was tripped on the power pole and we found our power inlet and cord fried!Luckily there was zero damage to the power inverter, fuse panel or other electrical components on the travel trailer.I purchased the Park Power 301ELRV 30A Power Inlet as an upgrade/replacement for the bad one on the trailer. Also I purchased a Marinco 30 Amp Right Angle Locking Cord w/ hand grip. Having 3 strands of 10ga cable wrapped in thick heavy-duty insulation, this cord is a beast!!!Installation is straightforward and requires only very basic knowledge of hand tools. I used butyl rope putty to seal the inlet to the wall of the travel trailer.I chose this particular power inlet and the Marinco 30 Amp cord by first referencing Marinco's website. Then searched on Amazon for the part #'s I needed. Both the power inlet and the 30amp cord are very well constructed and will probably last longer than the travel trailer! If you need a power inlet, power cord, or both, go with Park Power by Marinco. You will spend a couple extra $$ over some other brands, but is well worth the investment.I will only buy Park Power/Marinco products for my electrical shoreline connection needs.

Kind of hard to install but once you figure out how to stabilize the lugs then everything is OK. About the same as other power inlets.

I purchased this to hook my Honda 2000i generator up to my home. Not typical I know but I coupled it with this (Conntek 14355 RV Pigtail Adapter RV 30 Amp Male Plug To 30 Amp Locking Female Connector) and can use my RV power cords to back-feed my home. Before I get the flame mails about back-feeding, I hooked it up via an Interlock kit so it's not possible to back-feed into the street. I did have to monkey with the wires more than I'd like as RVs are only 120V but I got it working fine and it works great. There's no interior wiring or aluminum wire on this, just metal connectors to the plug, so use the right gauge for your service and you're set.One star off as I accidentally unscrewed the bolts a little too far and the interior metal threaded pieces came off. I ended up taking it apart to reattach them. It looks like it was designed to keep that from happening but it failed. On a positive note, it's aligned in a way to only go back together one way so not that difficult of a task. But at least I know there's no lower gauge wire... :)

No complaints. This does exactly what it is supposed to. The color coded connections made it easy to wire and it has a real positive feel when the cord set locks in.IF you are planning on upgrading your older style RV with the cord built in the hole in the side of your RV will most likely be larger than this connector. I picked up a 8" square piece of 1/8" aluminum plate and drilled a hole to mount this plug to then sealed the whole assembly to the side of the camper in the origional location with some stainless steel screws and silicone sealant. If you are installing this in a new location or replacing a similar connector you will most likely not need to do this.

I got tired of the ants and critters using my cord as a highway into my rv! Please understand, this most likely wont replace the entire hatch door. What i did was took off the cord door frame, cut a 1" block to fit the opening of the frame, set far enough back so the hatch door would close when not in use. I predrilled and used sheetrock screws to secure. Instead of tying into the junction box, i cut my existing cord with a hacksaw (power off of course), about a foot outside trailer and inserted into the new park power inlet. I have used it camping now, works perfectly! I read on other forums, "you still have to roll up and wipe off".. Well, of course you do. If you have the issues with bugs, you understand! This is a quality made product at a great price. It looks great too. A nice upscale modification! I will be glad to give more info or even pictures, just ask. I purchased to companion pp 30rpcrv cord. Enthusiastically recommend!

If you are insalling this shore connection in a new installation application; it might work. I purchased this to replace my existing cable scuttle on my Jayco travel trailer. This connector housing is too small to replace the existing scuttle, so I'm going to have to drill a new hole and leave the existing scuttle installed. Also, the strain relief clamp on the housing of this connector is designed for Romex cable. Being a 30Amp connector, you should be using 10 AWG cable. There is not enough space in the back of the housing to accomdate manipulation of the 10 AWG cable once the connector is wired because it wires in the rear of the connector. If you use an SJ or SO or SOW type cable, you'll have to install your own strain relief through the rear of the housing. Not what is expected. They should be more specific with the specifications on this item.

I was tired of fighting mice that found the old cord opening in my trailer and chose this power entrance to replace it. It covered the old screw holes and fit in the existing opening with just a little work to accommodate the 12/2 Romex I used to connect it to the breaker panel in the trailer. Mice problem solved; cord can be stored inside when not in use; plug on the end of cord no longer exposed to weather when in storage. Great solution to the problems.
