Being very picky, but actual patch colors don't seem to "pop" as much as shown in the advertising photo. Patch embroidery appears flawless, and employ colors of silver (you might call it gray), gold (shine depends on what type of lighting and angle), and just a tiny bit of white on the helmet data plate. Ad photo makes it look like helmet outline areas are black, but on patches I received, the thread was the same color as the helmet body. To my eyes, this makes the patch detail wash out when viewed in person. Again, it's very well done - unfortunately, the lack of a fourth/black thread color keeps this patch from being extraordinary. I haven't yet tried the iron on feature, but see no reason it won't work as back of patch is fully covered by heat activated glue. To the sellers, I'd encourage you to change the description to read "Mark V Deep Sea Diving Helmet Embroidered Iron On Souvenir Army Navy Professional Diver"

Thank you for the patches and the bonus patch! My dad was a deep sea diver and wore that style diving gear! He is 81 years old and wanted to have baseball caps made.

Bought this to commerate getting the chance to dive a Mark V helmet made in 1943 at dive school in Seattle. The patch is nicely embroidered and now resides on my carhart work jacket.
