Poor craftsmanship on holes in wood covering tuning adjustment. Otherwise, it is a beautiful drum and sounded great. I felt the price was too high for this kind of flaw. I didn't want to try and do the finish myself. I got a splinter the second I touched the wood near the holes. It is too hard to overlook the unfinished surface near the playing surface. I returned it due to this issue and ordered the vinyl covered model.
