Great feel, great balance, perfect for cabinetry. 2.2Lb Great size for carry-bag or belt holder. As advertised, and as hoped.

Like it better than the old one it replaces, and used that one over 20 years. Nice looking for a bonus, doesn't look so cheap like some of the others.

REVIEW: MichaelPro 3.3lb Dead Blow Hammer, Shockproof, Powerful Hammering Blows, No Rebound, Non-Marring, Industrial Navy | MP004029This 3.3 pound dead blow hammer feels really good in my hand. The handle has an excellent rubber textured grip that helps me hold on to it better. It also helps to cushions the shock of the impact. When swinging this hammer, you can actually hear the ball bearings moving inside the head itself. That shifting of bearings is what helps the smoothness of the swing, but particularly speeds up the down swing to connect with a harder and heavier blow.I like this hammer and it functiones beyond how I thought it would.

We get one of these about every 3-4 years. We ordered this one and we weren't disappointed. Very satisfied!

I have used hammers of a wide variety of weights before, so this heavy(ish) hammer was no surprise in terms of weight. But I had not used a no-rebound hammer before, and this thing is a game changer. Wow. Had no idea such a thing existed (I'm a DIY'er, not a professional) but I'm so glad I found it. Hammer recoil is uncomfortable and potentially dangerous, but not a problem with this wonderful tool. Swings are so much more controlled, and the tool just works better. My kids are fascinated by the sounds coming from inside (the ball bearings), which is more of an observation than a reason to recommend a product. But what we all have in common is that we love this hammer. Highly recommended, and one of my favorite new tools.

This is my review of MichaelPro 3.3lb Dead Blow Hammer. This hammer is well-made and durable. I checked the specified weight of 3.3 pounds and found it is exact. I use this type of product to assemble joinery in my furniture making business. Sometimes the wood needs a little encouragement to come together in a mortise and tenon joint after glue is applied. The hammer does not mar the wood or leave marks. It is solid and functions as a dead blow hammer should, no bounce back. The handle is easy to grip with the added advantage of the rubber coating. I would not hesitate to order this hammer as it is the best one, I have used in many years. I am rating this product 5 stars since it exceeded my expectations in quality.

Love this hammer. The grip is real comfortable. With this grip the hammer seems lighter than it really is. The loaded shot adds a punch to the strike. Face material seems as solid as others I have. Will see if it holds up to prolonged use. Worth the money.

Five-stars for sure if $5.00 less expensive.I've begun to notice that price comparisons for similar products are now with items that are not as similar as they once were. For example, do I want to know the price of a 2lb. dead blow hammer? Not especially, if 3.3lbs. is what I'm after.I have also noticed that new, unreviewed items tend to launch at significantly higher cost and then soon appear marked down substantially. One understands the motivation, but that's not a good business model for long term survival in any market where people remember the experience when it happens to them. That said, on short acquaintance this seems to be a good quality hammer. There is nothing misleading in the advertising about the product that I could tell. Other than the pricing question, I can and do recommend this hammer.

I have hit many things with this, it has survived all of the punishment. The handle is attached well, I was worried it would slide off, but nope. The plastic faces aren't terribly hard/strong, if you hit sharp things it will be damaged. No big surprise there, right?I'm happy with how well this has stood up to my abuse.
