The shower sprout feels flimsy and doesn’t fully stop water flow — the stopper wobbles and sprout drips water. My old Kohler was much sturdier and didn’t leak. Disappointed with the quality. Could it be counterfeit?

Worked great to fix an old Moen spout that was leaking.

It’s working well at the beginning, but the pulling handle started to malfunction about 1.5 years after the purchase

The way that this faucet grabs onto the pipe, and is tightened by an allen wrench is far superior than others I purchased where a small phillips head screw was driven into the pipe. I purchased another model with the phillips screw, and it just was junk. This one took about a minute to install and is held on very strongly. My only criticism would be that the allen wrench is not included, but you should have a set at home.

Good replacement product from original which was gummed up. Very easy to install with a single set screw

This tub spout was easy to install. It looks great as a replacement for an older Moen spout that was not working very well anymore. All I had to do was slip it on the pipe from the wall and then tighten the screw at the back to keep it nice and tight. I turned on the water and there were no leaks so then I pulled the water stopper to start the shower and boom, shower comes right on. A great product for a good price. I highly recommend if you have to replace your tub spout.

Super simple to install. I paid a little less for a Danco at the store, and it worked fine for the one I replaced. Then I got this one for the other tub/shower, and it’s definitely better. The way it holds onto the pipe is sturdier and uses an allen screw which makes it easier to snug up. The other one I had was just a phillips head screw that holds the spout in place. More difficult to get that one as snug. Wish I didn’t throw out the packaging for that one. Should’ve just purchased two of these. Lesson learned, spend a little more and get something better. This took about a minute to install and works great.

I have a builder grade condo that I am DIYinng (newbie) while I pay mortgage off 10 years early. I decided to “use what I got” to climb Barbara Corcoran and was able to fine the exact Moen bathroom fixtures needed w/o hiring a plumber. This was the higher end version (100% metal) but Moen but the item is an exact match (builder used chrome plated plastic so i bought that version here last month for 2nd bathroom) to slip onto the copper pipe and tighten with an Allen wrench. I purchased a white foam backed metal chrome circular plate that slips onto pipe before slipping spout and it looks awesome and with small amount of silicon around seam prevents water from sneaking in over time much better than without it (cause of this “Reno” was 25 years of water sneaking behind tile surround due to shabby craftsmanship by tiler around plumbing that eventually caused tiles, Sheetrock and “shelf” at foot of tub due to poor measurements by builder so created “shelf” to make up difference between wall to wall and length of tub that shares a hall wall w/bathroom pocket door! What seemed a weekend fix became more than a month but no complaints here. I’m proud and these Moen manufactured bathroom and plumbing chrome fixtures truly looks professional even at this stage (have 2 more days of this and that while last (5th) coat of Rust-oleum Tub and tile refinishing kit white.

I bought this one to replace the one we previously had, almost identical. We had to cut off the threaded end of the old pipe since this one only slides on. We have a pipe cutter so easy peasy (or just use a saw if you don't have a pipe cutter). Took a whole 5 min to install. Great quality and a great working diverter. Highly recommend!

The Moen diverter spout is much better than the one it replaced. The valve works smoothly and disengages when the water supply is turned off. This one directs all the water out the shower head. The difference in water pressure is quite noticeable.I paid extra for next day delivery but was disappointed when the delivery was delayed.Installation was simple as I had the correct sized Allen key. None is provided with this item.I am very pleased with the quality of this item

The pull-up diverter is the same design as this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AMLHZ4You can get a 3D model of the metal part (main body) of the faucet from Moen's website.I think this is how the design works: There is a round hole at the part where water comes out. There is a plastic plate with a circular extrusion, with a rubber washer attached to the wall of that circle that matches up with the round hole. When the faucet is turned on and the diverter is pulled up, water pressure pushes the rubber washer away from the plastic plate, so the washer pushes against the round hole and seals the hole, so water goes up the tube into the shower instead. It's probably dripping because the circular part on the plastic isn't exactly centered to the hole when pulled all the way up. If I push the diverter down a bit after pulling it up, the dripping seems to stop. But at around two and a half times the price of the AS diverter, I kinda expected it to seal perfectly without any fiddling. The only differences are the minor aesthetic difference you can see from the pictures of the two items, and the attachment mechanism. This one uses a guillotine-like clamp that distributes the clamping pressure to both the top and bottom side of the copper pipe, while the AS one relies on just the point where the set screw digs into the copper tube. The attachment at the back seems to be made with much higher tolerances than the AS one though, as it requires some bit of fiddling to line things up perfectly before it can slip onto the tube, while the AS one slips on effortlessly. If you prefer the mounting mechanism of this one much more than the AS one, and think the mounting is worth the additional $15 plus tax, then go with it. Otherwise just get the AS one, as they have the same performance after installation.
