Build quality is fine for the price, and the magnets work well. Great set of cars, perfect as a gift set. The colors are bright and done pretty well. Overall we're happy with them!

Our little one loves this. Nicely painted, each of the wooden train pieces has rounded surfaces and no sharp edges. The wheels roll easily and the magnets are strong. You can attach all of the train pieces and pull the entire train without it pulling apart at any of the magnets. Yet the magnets aren't too strong because our little one can still take the train apart and rearrange the animals when she wants too. The train pieces are the perfect size for little hands. A mat is provided the is beautifully colored, but it seems a little small for the size of the train. We really like that each of the animals on the train cars are also show on the mat so our little one can match each of the train pieces up with the same animal on the mat. High quality construction. We love this set.

These trains are so cute and very well made. They're large enough to fit in my 17 month old's hands while not being a choking hazard, and they have great animal designs on them. The magnets are also very strong, so they connect to each other well. I also like that they're compatible with most other wooden train sets.

The magnetic animals are such a cute touch, and my toddler loves connecting them and pulling them along the track. The game map adds extra imaginative play, and it's great that the set is compatible with other major train brands. The wooden pieces are sturdy and well-made, and the bright colors keep my child engaged.

I've been on the hunt for some toys that I can keep at my house (Grandma's). This magnetic train set is SO adorable and exactly what I was looking for.First and foremost, there isn't a rough spot on any of the pieces so you won't have to deal with splinters. Yay! Each wooden piece is smooth as glass and has a nice clear coating over each one. Even the wooden box they're stored in doesn't have any rough edges.Speaking of the box, it's fine on its own to keep the train set on a shelf or propped up displayed. However, it comes unfinished so you can paint or stain it anyway you like to make it more personal. I plan to line it with felt to help keep the train pieces in tip top condition. Plus, I think it would look nice.The magnets are perfect for little ones- not so strong that a small child can't remove two pieces, but strong enough to keep the train running smoothly without any breaks.A small, thin mat also comes with this set. It's bright and colorful and depicts a nice scene for the train to run across. If I didn't know children, I wouldn't be very impressed with it. However, experience has taught me that the mat won't last long anyway. Most kids would get bored with it pretty quickly. It's more fun to run your toys along Grandma's antique chest or around the edges of a rug! LOLI say this train set is a winner. It would make a Little One very happy for hours.

This is a great quality toy train set. The images are all clear and the paint hasn't chipped. The magnets are just strong enough to connect and pull along as a full train and weak enough for your toddler to pull them apart easily. I like that it comes with a way to store everything.

These train pieces fit your standard, brand name wooden train track setup. The paint is a high quality with a glossy clear coat and well done designs. I like the animal theme and the selected critters that are displayed. The magnets work well and I do not foresee any sharp or dangerous edges or choking risks. This is a great gift set idea for any little ones.
