The part that the wires screw intro detaches easily from the plug. I plan on replacing them with a soldered connection. Until then, they work fine. I am using a 10 gauge speaker cable

When I bought my house there were some big old speakers in the garage that only used 1/4 jack to output to receiver. Bought these along with some 12g wire and was in business! They’ve been working great for months now.

I'm using a set of LS 2153 for my rear surround speakers on my high fidelity system lol. Anybody that's an audio file is going to send the short bus to my house to pick me up. But honestly for movies trying to get authoritative sound from rear speakers can be a little difficult unless you're running these babies! There is a whole new level of surround sound when you take something like rear channels and put 104 DB sensitive PA speakers on that signal path. There's never a mistake with hey did I hear that in the back? The only problem is termination. The speaker accepts noitrick speak-ons or quarter inch speaker cable plugs. I was able to run my speaker wires into these and complete signal path to the speaker and it is freaking bodacious to say the least. Hi Fidelity? Well probably not but machine guns baby! Explosions people talking and alien sneaking up or suspension cables twang of a suspension cables as it's Maxim load limit has been surpassed and oh wow you can hear it's coming from the big pa speakers baby yeah!

Note that these are NOT the stereo kind of plugs, but instead, have just TWO conductors to them. Super high quality with excellent strain relief rubber sleeves at the cable side. Cleanly machined to correct specs, so there's no "noise" from twisting the connector in the socket. Easy to solder wires to the connectors inside. Very professional looking.

Works for mono cables if you need to replace a bad end or make your own cable. Good sturdy connection and looks like it's built well. Can work with lots of cable thickness sizes. Good value of you know what you are doing.

I was excited to try these. The wires easily went into the green part and screwed down. Seemed precise. But the green part pops out of the black part way too easily. Thankfully our system isn’t being moved. It’s on a shelf in a closet. Had I needed to inplugvthe audio frequently, I would’ve sent these back. Great concept. Would be perfect if they snapped in tightly. The quality of the screws and the 1/4” jack seemed good, just the fit together needs work. Will probably not purchase again until the fix that. But it solved our need to use the existing speaker wire run through the ceiling by just adding 1/4” adapter ends.
