If you have an animal, let's say a sweet little doggie, who wanders about outdoors and there is even a remote possibility that this four-legged family member could be sprayed by a skunk then please, please, please just buy this! Don't think about it. Don't wonder about it. Don't put it off for any reason. Borrow the money to buy it. Put it on a credit card and pay 25% interest. You have to have this stuff for it is truly a MIRACLE solution. I bought this in April in the off chance which became a reality this morning when I came downstairs to our Luna, following a little early morning solo stroll, immediately throwing her face into our carpet after coming in the house through her dog door. The smell of skunk immediately began to permeate the house as it wafted up the stairs, down the stairs and quickly into all rooms, whether or not the doors were open. She apparently had been sprayed in the face. My husband moved quickly taking her back outside where we were also quick to grab up this amazing liquid which is truly Nature's Miracle!!! We didn't have to go looking for it because we were smart, proactive and have been staring at this bottle since it came in the mail in April. We made quick work of soaking our poor girl. My husband is the chemist and I don't know how it works and I don't care. I just know that it works, like a freaking charm. You put the liquid on immediately. Please, please, please, don't ruin the entire experience and wet your dog down first! First, and foremost must be the Nature's Miracle Skunk Odor Remover onto the dry dog hair. Work in well. Put it everywhere on him or her. Use your fingers and really get in there. Make sure you put it on her face and everywhere else because by this time you will not know what stinks and what doesn't because your nose is fried. Just do it. Don't think about it. Wait at least 5 minutes. Your dog will be fine. Mine was just chillin like she couldn't figure out why there seemed to be a problem with her parents. After a minimum of 5 minutes then throw on some good pet shampoo and shampoo as per your usual routine. Dry off well and then, well I made the poor thing stay outside all day because my work had just begun.......Use this stuff immediately on the carpet. Wherever you believe that your dog has been and rubbed. We put a sprayer on the container and it worked like a charm. I actually have a carpet shampooer so I used the morning's experience to give me a day off from work and stayed home and shampooed out great room. Opened up the doors and windows. The smell of skunk was everywhere in our house at 8:30 this morning and I am happy to report that it is now almost 8:30 tonight and there isn't even a hint of skunk smell in our house. And, Luna, well, we took her in our car to run an errand to give her the smell test and it was amazing. She smells just fine, just like her usual dog self. Buy this stuff today!

Updated review October 2018 (upgraded to five stars): Our dumdum got sprayed (again) and we washed him thoroughly with this right after. Within minutes of being sprayed we soaked our dog, applied this thoroughly all over our wet dog (including face and between the toes) and his collar, and rinsed him with water; we did not follow up with regular dog shampoo. The skunk odor is barely existent (I brought him to work the day after and no one could detect the skunk odor, I can only smell it if I literally put my nose on his forehead right in between his eyes sniff hard). We also used this in the wash with the towel we used on our dog as well as the clothes we were wearing when we caught him and washed him, and all smell perfectly fine. The only casualty from the incident was an LED dog collar our dog wears at night (not waterproof and still has a skunky odor).While I think our dog got less of a direct hit to the face then when he was sprayed the first time, this stuff definitely worked a lot better than the at home remedy. The enzyme rinse also has a pleasant odor itself and our dog needed a bath anyway, so I feel lucky that we had this stuff in the house. I'd 100% recommend this product to anyone with a curious dog. It doesn't cost that much and having it available to use immediately in the event that your dog is sprayed will probably save you from having to throw out collars, towels, and clothes, which makes the bottle pay for itself. I can't comment as to how well it would work on a furrier dog or if the skunk spray was allowed to sit on the dog for a while, but if you have a smooth coated dog and can wash him right after being sprayed, this product truly is Nature's Miracle.Original review August 2018 (three stars): After our dog got skunked, I bought this due to online reviews that it removed the skunk smell better than other products or at-home solutions. While this product is convenient if you already have it in your house, I do not find that it worked any better than the at-home solution of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and dish soap recommended by our vet. Our dog still had a faint odor after washing him in this product as directed.Note, our dog is a smooth coated dog with short, flat fur. We washed him in the at-home solution immediately after being sprayed, the morning after, and then a few days after, and then used this product on our dog about 2 weeks after being sprayed. Results may be different for those with dogs with long hair, curly fur, or double coats, or if washed with this product immediately after being sprayed. We did not try using it to wash skunk-sprayed clothes yet, so cannot comment on it's effectiveness for that use.Overall, if you live in a single dog household and don't have a dog inclined to chase skunks, I'd probably just make sure you have the other products in your house as they are more multipurpose than this. If you have multiple off-leash dogs, it might not be a bag idea to keep a bottle of this around. You get a decent sized bottle for the price.

I bought this as my dog had been skunked! I would recommend anyone with a dog buys one of these bottles and keeps it just in case, as even the 2 days I waited for it to arrive were unbearable in terms of the smell until it got here! I had shampooed our dog twice and it made no difference, so I was cynical that this product might not work, however, it really is effective, if you can keep your dog still long enough. You have to leave the product in for a while, then shampoo off. I gave it to our dog groomer as there is no way under normal circumstances our hyperactive Morkie would sit still to have this product on at home. She left it on for around half an hour, then shampooed it off, and I would say it cured around 90% of the problem. There is still a faint odour if our dog gets wet, but, believe me, compared with how it was before it's a delight! Love this product and hope I don't have to use it again, but if I do, it will be my shampoo of choice.
