i wasn't sure how many stars to give it...cool looking, comfortable and affordable.on the downside, not convinced they are fully waterproof. I don't have any boots to compare them to but they didn't prevent me from freezing my feet off in january and most importantly they are shot (by that i mean wide open) by the end of the second season.Granted , between deer seats, scouting, tree stands, pheasant hunting... that's about 40-50 outings. I wasn't expecting to have to replace them that fast.Overall, im not unhappy, it fit the purpose and i guess i got what i paid for, ill spend a little more next time.

Bought these boots in 2018. Used them less than 15 days on hunting. Zero waterproof and sole unglued from boot. Waste of money. They are now in the garbage!

Great boots, but I also got them on a whim because they were priced at $35 for some reason. I think they would probably be worth the regular price, but after getting them for cheap I am extremely happy with them. They seem decently well made, and with some wool socks kept my feet warm and dry for a day of skeet shooting in 2 feet of snow and -15c temperature.

This is the second pair of Northside boots I have bought for my husband from this seller. We have been completely satisfied with both pairs. My husband usually takes a size 11 but we decided to order the 12 & they fit perfectly. He really likes the lightweight feel of this boot too. My husband wears boots of this style all the time, so he knows what he likes & he notices everything... He really likes the triple stitching which adds to the sturdiness of this boot. Easy to slide into, without a shoe horn. Great color & style. Unbeatable value for this quality of boot. Will continue to shop with this seller.

More narrow than regular, but that works for me. Smaller than regular too. I had to return the first pair because they were too small, I ordered the next larger size and they fit better. I don't know about warm to -40 but they are warm to -18, and I was not wearing thermal socks. The footbed is firm, no cushioning and no arch support. Since I use orthotics this isn't a problem for me but others may find they need an insert. They are not flexible and will give your feet a bit of a workout during the breaking in period. Good traction even on hard packed snow. They are not waterproof. I stepped into an ankle high puddle and water came in.

I bought these boots for hunting and hiking, and I'm not disappointed. After a short break in period, they are perfect. The insulation is sufficient to not sweat your feet out on temperate days (60F to 75F), but keep them warm on cooler days (40F to 60F). And when temps go below that, they are roomy enough to allow you to put on good quality wool hiking socks. The laces are sufficiently generous to allow you to wrap the laces around the cuff of the boot, but not have too much hanging out. The sole and tread pattern are good for walking on paved surfaces, improved trails and terrain. I haven't tested the water resistance yet, but I did step in a deep puddle the other day and didn't feel a bit of moisture seep in. If I had any complaints, it would be that the toe box is a little snug to the big toe, and could be cramped in insulated socks. Then again, I have wide feet, so I've suffered worse in a boot. Finally... I think they look cool. And cool boots are hard to find these days because all the hipsters and lumbersexuals are wearing them out. I don't want to look like a total redneck, but I also don't want to look like a one man pride parade either. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

I bought these for my 15 year old daughter because there are no good boots for girls. You have to buy men's. You have to convert women’s sizes to men's sizes. Take a look, it is ridiculous trying to buy boots for girls. These are really nice boots, very well made, as a Dad you always worry about your daughter getting cold. No problem, these are great! It still amazes me that all hunting gear is aimed at men.My girls shoot better than I do

I bought these for my grandson but they were just a little bit too small (size 10M fits like a 9 1/2W. I had been needing a new pair of waterproof boots so I tried them on and it was like heaven. I wear a 9 1/2 wide and this was perfect and though I really think they are ugly (just my taste, they look exactly like the picture but I am not a camo fan, lol) hubby thinks they look expensive. I think they are extremely well made. I like that they are waterproof and just the 400 gram thinsulate, as for myself, thicker 800 - 1200 gram will make my feet sweat. Here in Nebraska, our entire hunting family prefers the 400. So yes... I am keeping them. They are also extremely lightweight, making it easy to walk for long periods of time, and the fit to me is exceptional, very comparable to a Born* size 9-1/2 comfort-wise ... just a bit wide and super soft / supportive inside. .

I finally got to put my new hunting boots to the test over the last couple of days. We had received quite a few inches of rain over the last several weeks and our fields were very muddy and wet. Our first day of the hunt, the low was in the lower 50's with a little rain. The boots by no means are waterproof. That being said, my foot wasn't completely soaked by the end of the day. Which included several trips across a wet field to retrieve a deer. The second day, however, really hit home the disappointment with these boots. The weather had turned off colder, just below freezing in the morning. I only wore one pair of socks, since the boots are rated for -40 weather. With the additional trips across the same wet field, the boots took on even more water. It made for a miserable experience. My feet stayed cold the duration of the hunt. I had to get down and move several times to keep my toes from going numb.I broke down this afternoon and got some waterproofing spray hoping to use that to salvage these boots. That being said, they are incrediably comfortable. I walked a lot in them over the two day hunt, and besides my feet being cold and wet, they felt great. The boot offers great support. I found that it ran a little large, but that might be good since I will probably end up having to wear additional pairs of socks. Overall, I'd expect more quality for a boot running $80+ dollars.
