At my request, we purchased one of these for my Scouts BSA Troop. This thing is bulky, heavy, and awkward to use. The attached rope came untied multiple times during aquatics advancement training at a local pool. We returned it. We're going to try a Red Cross LIFE rescue tube. It's double the cost, but we want something reliable if we have to to do a rescue at the beach in a rip current.

I'm sure glad I tried it before using it in the ocean. I did throw the float in a pool and it seemed to work ok. Other than the buckle, this seems to be of good quality.

From the 7 foot nylon cord that was advertised, I only received 1.5 feet. That was a travesty.
