First, the clipper body itself is heavy duty. It appears to be a clone of a well known dog grooming clipper brand available online, but this is significantly less expensive. The weight alone gives the impression of solid construction. The battery arrived with 80% charge and tested out fine. The charger uses the USB-C cable to wall wart USB plug-in. The combs/clipper height guards are something that surprised me in a neutral way. The comb's 'blades' are metal and pointy. You will need a lot of care to prevent hurting yourself or the animal when using the clippers with various combs installed. I would have preferred something more blunted to reduce the probability of poking and digging into the skin on my dog, or myself. The metal will likely hold up a long time, but still not thrilled about the razor-like blades if the dog is less cooperative during grooming. I will test the battery life and report back about experiences, but I feel that the clippers represent a strong 4 starts with a potential for 5 stars if I don't hurt myself with the metal combs first.Guard height is something else to be aware of. The lowest was 3mm which is pretty short. You can have no guard also.

I'm not a professional groomer, but help out with foster dogs, and this definitely can provide a high quality trim when they are matted or need a cool summer coat. Oneisall may not be as well-known as Wahl, Andis or Oster to professional groomers, but before ordering, I checked out the brand and noticed that their ratings among DIY customers are consistently high (around 4.5 stars), even for more basic models, with good quality and value at each price point. The Grandmaster Pro 1is their new top of the line model, and is the most expensive. But it provides features that pro groomers expect, like replaceable high quality blades that are interchangeable with some Andis. Oster and Wahl models, durable combs with metal tines, powerful motor, fast/smooth cuts, and a beefy swappable battery. Some pros primarily use corded models since they tend to be a little lighter, slightly more powerful, and can run all day without recharging. But many also keep a cordless handy for quick trims, or sensitive areas like the head. For amateurs like myself, that cord can be awkward and cumbersome. Plus, corded clippers tend to be louder, which can be stressful to dogs... especially jittery fosters. This model is comparatively quiet, and battery life should be ample for typical DIY groomers, while pros can buy extras to swap in as needed.Considering the cost of pet grooming, many folks decide to reduce or avoid salon visits with DIY at home. Since this high-end clipper kit still pays for itself with one or two saved visits, it's penny wise and dollar foolish to skimp and buy a basic model without replaceable blades/batteries that isn't as refined, smooth or fast. So it's probably worth the splurge for yourself, or to give as a gift. Since the faster and easier the trim, the less stress to your pet, your body, and your sanity.

Ok this clipper is simply amazing. I have been grooming dogs for 20+ years. My go to has always been my wahl iron horse horse clippers, but have gravitated towards removable blade clippers like the oster and this one. This is a serious piece of kit. It comes with a 10(1.5mm) blade and a 3,2 and 1 metal guard. I normally HATE clip on guards as they always require a million passes to even out but these are great. They have a spring loaded clip to hold the guard on super tight. The blade is also detachable and interchangeable with most of the standard units like my oster. All my old blades fit perfectlyThe unit itself is hefty. I personally like the extra heft, but some may not. That’s because it has a huge 2ah battery. That’s way bigger than most. It lasts hours on a single charge on high for me. I did my cocker spaniel on a single charge with about 40% to spare. The motor is about as fast as my oster but slower than the wahl. It has great torque especially for a cordless. It does get hot, but so do all clippers. It’s pretty standard in this regardSimply put the clipper is quality. It comes in a great box with a charger too! Perfect for dog grooming at a prosumer level.

To you, gentle reader, I confess all. I spent the better part of ten minutes in an attempt to open the package (spurred on by the enticing heft of the contents). Relying on the visual clue of the orange color around the perimeter and the black color on the ends, I thought you slid out the black end. Frustrated, I kept looking for hidden plastic tape. I eventually noticed the faint outline of the hidden magnets and popped the lid open. Fortunately, no damage to the box (I was getting close). There is an ad illustration showing the opened box, which I did not look at before my attempt. It may behoove the manufacture to add a graphic on the package for opening guidance. This is a very impressive animal chipper, certainly on par with the Wahl KM (which I also own). It comes with spacer combs #1, #2, and #3 (which the Wahl KM does not). I also tried after market spacer combs for the Wahl, and they worked on it.The motor has two speed levels, and there is a display showing remaining battery life and speed setting. It has a robust battery charger powered via a usb plug, and the usb wall wort IS PROVIDED! Fancy that in this age of wonders.I also tried a Wahl intended clipper head. It does fit although it required some motivation to overcome an initial stop point. I also ran the motor as I inserted it, as instructed in the Wahl manual but not mentioned in this one). This is a seriously nice clipper.Minor faults, which I mention since they would be easily corrected by the manufacture and I definitely think they deserve to do well selling these things. The ample bottle of mineral oil leaked during transit and some oil discolored a spot on the manual. Please provide a bag for the oil. The plastic clipper head protector was designed by an apprentice and the keeper end is marginally short. I cut off the inner tabs and all was well. And provide a graphic on how to open display box.
