It is a nuisance to use and keeps breaking. Threw it out and bought the simple corkscrew.

I paid extra for a reputable maker rather that the usual cheap winged corkscrew as I expected it to be more robust but it broke the first time it encountered a tough cork. It’s not as if it’s even been used a lot because most of the bottles I buy are screw caps anyway. I would advise not bothering and just buy cheap and cheerful plain metal ones. Very disappointed.

Disappointing product.Bought this locally for my spouse, expecting an OXO Good Grips product, designed to be comfortable to use. Not true in this instance, clearly OXO allowed looks to override functional comfort.The wings look snazzy, folded into the body of the corkscrew, but they are short, hard and with pointy ends, just torture to deal with when the bottle has a sticking cork. My spouse had to put ice on her hands to ease the bruises.Two stars because the cork came out, but this item should not in the Good Grips catalog.

I've used many corkscrews. This one is a single-purpose design (has no bottle opener) that's awkward to use. It doesn't even have comfortable, cushy rubber on the handles you'd expect from Good Grips.

So far, I have had this long enough to open about a half dozen bottles of wine without incident. The foil cutter only works if you apply pressure. I applied enough pressure between my index finger and thumb to break it. The cutting wheel broke off the plastic spindle. The foil cutter is a good idea, but not functional for long as implemented.

We love OXO brand kitchen accessories. We probably used this corkscrew a total of six times, when it broke! The screw broke off, and it couldn't be fixed. Since it was over the 30 days since we purchased it from Amazon, we went directly to the OXO company for a replacement. After we sent the broken corkscrew to them, they replaced it with a new one within a couple of weeks. We can't complain, and we will continue to purchase the OXO brand products.
