This closed hook is weak and the clip clasp does not even touch the hook…. It’s so weak it can easily be pushed to the side rending it useless. I bought these from this supplier as I trusted that ‘paracord planet’ would clearly have good product…. Not the case. The one good thing is the clip seems to hold the paracord in the base of the clip. But what good is it if the clip has zero retention?

I broke the clip to my pontoon boat stripping apron, and this is the solution. Very easy to install, and the apron again works as it originally did. I thought I'd need to buy a new stripping apron.

The plastic that these are made of is really brittle which means that they snap when being fastened to the cord. I've had others from a different company that worked perfectly. Three out of seven snapped you do the maths.

I had the 1/8" elastic cord and needed these to install a bench seat cover in my old truck. As long as they aren't pulled really tight they stay on. If you pull real hard they pop off, but I knew that going in.

These seem like a very good idea but I found that all the collar pieces, except for 2 out of 20, were impossible to slide onto the hook piece even without the paracord in place. I even tried on my work bench by forcing them straight down without the cord in place but couldn't get them to budge. With one of the ones that worked, I had to double the cord over before installing otherwise it would easily pull out with just a bit of tension. Too bad because I really like the idea of being able to custom make to length. I am returning these.

Great concept although the barb used to hold the bungee cord doesn't hold when pulling at full stretch of the bungee. I used these with 1/8th inch bungee to make the bungee cords on the inside of my rooftop tent. My tent didn't come with them so I made them. What I found is that these will hold up to maybe 3/4 pull on the bungee, but when you max out the bungee that is when it comes out of these hooks. The barb doesnt grab it enough.I made my bungee lengths a little longer and it works, but I wish it would have held at full pull so I could get full stretch out of my bungee cords to pull in on the tent as I put it away.

These are what I was needing. Only complaint is that they say for 1/8" but they slip off. They work perfect for 3/16" cord.

I was a little leery of putting these on my kayak, since I wasn't sure they would hold well under high tension.WRONG! I anchored one end and pulled the other to the stretch limit of the shock cord, and they held. I no longer worry about them.As a FYI, I needed a couple of these without the latch, so I cut it off at the base with a pair of side-cutters. Worked like a charm.

I used these hooks with 1/8 shock cord. I first just stuck the end in and it did not hold very well. I ended up folding the end and inserting it into the hook and then it was very strong. Tip- there is an arrow on the cover that applies the pressure. It's not real noticeable, so look for it. The arrow points towards the hook and has a slight twist to lock it in place.
