Definitely water proof, snug fit, works very well for my needs, it is thin material but not a problem for my application the tree stand protects my pack from any snags

The pattern isn't the prettiest, but It is definitely waterproof, and the medium size fits over my 40l backpacks perfectly. Currently have them in my get-home bags in our vehicles, just in case.
