This is a very useful tool for keeping an eye on the water quality of my pool.

I use this to monitor the PH on my tomatoes. It is working great and have no complaints. I have use a lot of different PH meters and this one is your typical economy level tester. I would only trust it to within half a PH. And i would take a sample and let the meter sit in the sample for 30 secs before taking a reading.

This Yewhick tester kits comes with everything shown in the advertisement and includes everything you need to use it. The kit has a nice foam insert with sectioned areas to fit and hold each item very well for storage. The machine powers on easily and I can change the mode settings. However, perhaps the instructions are incorrect because when trying to use the TSD calibration, step 3 was my stopping point. The machine did not display what step 3 said it should display. I tried the process from the beginning 2 different times and the machine was consistent in its display and it was not matching up to what the instructions were showing. I tried pushing some other buttons to see if I could get to the correct screen that was needed for this TDS testing, but I could not. The temperature works just fine and I do not have distilled water to create the solution to test the pH, so I am not sure if that will work or not.

Includes chemicals and instructions on how to calibrate - something this old man does not want to do. Wish it had been calibrated at the factory when it was manufactured.Made in China

This is a nice kit. It comes calibrated but also contains 2 premixed calibration solutions and 3 ready to mix. The has a wrist strap to prevent drops into the water and a cover to protect the electrode. The box it came in is convenient to keep everything neat and together. I have a salt water hot tub, a freshwater aquarium with plans to add a reef tank. This meter can be used on all three. I compared the results from the meter to both my aquarium freshwater test kit and my hot tub test kit (chemical, not strips). In my aquarium I tested TDS, pH, GH and the temperature. In the hot tub I tested, TDS, pH, GH, salt and temp. Results are instant, and in line with my chemical test kit and TDS meter. It read the lower temp in my aquarium immediately but took literal minutes to read the high temp in the hot tub, which is fine I don't really need it for that. It mentions electrodes are replaceable, for free under 6-month warranty which is great, but I don't see where they can be readily purchased for the unit after the fact. I rate the meter 5 star if they do become available for purchase, 4 stars if not.

This is a necessity for my pet sea monkeys as they need a specific range of salinity to not only thrive but survive. I immediately tested the last batch of water I mixed with sea salt to see why my sea monkeys died just a day after hatching. Turns out the salinity was WAY too high at 51 ppt when sea monkeys need to live in water with a salinity between 25-35 ppt. Now I can fine tune the water precisely by using this tool. Not a high enough salinity, add more salt. Salinity too high, add more water. Now my water is sitting at exactly 35 ppt. Can't wait to pour new sea monkey eggs into the water because now the last puzzle piece is in play since I already have the right temperature due to a heat pad, a grow light to grow algae, an air pump, and a thermometer. This device ties up loose ends as I now have every single thing for my sea monkeys to live long, healthy, happy lives!

Unlike other pH testers, this one comes with calibration powder that is meant to be reconstituted into ideally distilled or R/O or other deionized water. This fussier and more fiddly than kits that come with liquid based solutions which can be used straight away. In addition, its a 3 point calibration system while it should provide better accuracy, in reality, two point systems with a pH 4 and 7 solution give perfectly acceptable results down to .01 pH.In addition, pH probes are considered consumables and Yewhick claims replacements are available however I have not been able to find any listed for sale. I am pretty sure these units are designed to be disposable as the replacement probe likely will nearly be the price of the entire unit. Finally, pH probes require being stored in pH electrode storage solution. This unit does not come with any nor makes any mention of such. It merely says clean it off with alcohol and dry it off. I know from experience that meters that dry out end up with erratic readings and have trouble calibrating after a number of these cycles. While this unit does seem to work, it seems to be trying to be too much of an all in one solution and not especially great at any of them.

This is a nice little water tester but you do need to study the manual to use it correctly with its calibration.
