A: Yes, it doesn’t need any batteries, nor does it require charging. Simply slide the power-generating button on the side quickly before each use, and it’s ready to go.
Q: Once the weight is successfully measured, does the scale maintain the value, or is it necessary to read it at the same time you holding your luggage?
A: We read some answers that mentioned it does not maintain the reading after removing the luggage, actually, If you hold your luggage steady for about 3 seconds until the lock icon appears in the lower-left corner of the screen, you'll get an accurate weight measurement. The reading will remain displayed even after you remove the luggage.
Q: How much does it weigh? Is it light enough to pack? Can this be brought on the airplane?
A: Only 100g so it is very light to pack. I was able to take it through in my handbag during security check in the USA so it should be fine.
Q: Why I got twinkling numbers when weighing?
A: Please hold and keep your target still for 3 seconds you will see Hold on the screen and and number will stop twinkle, then get correct weight.
Q: If you set it to kg and then turn it off, does it remember the setting when you turn it back on? Or do you have to re-set it?
A: It stays on whatever you had it set on before turning it off. So you don't have to reset it every time.

This Longang Portable Handheld Luggage Scale is pretty cool. As noted in the description no battery is needed. Instead you have to slide a small switch back and forth a couple times which charges an internal battery that powers the device for a couple minutes. The scale uses a loop strap that makes it easy to fit any size handle. I did not verify the accuracy but so far I am pleased with this produce and think it is not only innovative in that it doesn't require changing batteries or worrying about them dying while on vacation but also works well.

This handheld luggage scale is very convenient to use, it doesn’t require any batteries, so I never have to worry about it dying at the wrong time. It’s lightweight, easy to grip, and the strap feels sturdy enough to hold heavy suitcases. The digital screen is large and easy to read, although it can be a bit hard to see in direct sunlight.

This scale uses a clever concept where a mechanical switch generates enough power to keep this running for about a minute. That does away with the problem of these running out of battery power since it doesn't use a battery. On the flip side it does make this a bit larger than the battery powered counterparts. It is still lightweight so it doesn't add significant weight compared with others.As mentioned before this stays "charged" only temporarily for about a minute or so before you have to pull the switch a few times to regenerate power for it to operate. It might not be as precise as others as it only gives readings to the 10th of a lb (others typically provide precision to the 100th of a lb). It is able to lock on a reading very quickly which is a huge usability feature since with others I am constantly fighting to hold a heavy luggage bag for several seconds until the reading stabilizes. With this one, it stabilizes in about 1 second and it gives consistent readings each time.It is slightly pricey, but it is very functional given that you no longer need to keep track of batteries for it. I would definitely recommend it.

The scale does not require batteries. You slide the switch back and forth a few times and the scale powers up. It seems accurate when tested against my kitchen scale. This scale is very light. I have reviewed several luggage scales and I do like that this one does not need to be charged. The only con is it is not the most comfortable scale to hold in your hand and it is a little bigger than others I have reviewed.

Yes, I admit it, I'm an overpacker, so I've long carried a portable luggage scale kind of like this to make sure my suitcase doesn't exceed that dumb 50 pound limit (but comes just RIGHT UP to it!) But, my scales have used button-cell batteries, and almost always shows "battery low" because the button gets pressed when I'm not using. I've had to carry 2 or 3 spare batteries, and although they're small, it's just a dumb hassle.So this luggage scale solves all that. There is no battery! You simply slide a button on the side a few times back and forth, and the scale now is powered for all your needs. It easily weighs your heavy suitcase and shows the readout on the digital display. You can weight anything you can wrap the strap around, and you're good to go. No more batteries, no more fuss, no more turning it on and off again to try to get another reading! This works perfectly and is such an elegant solution to luggage weighing!

I have a doorbell that works similarly in that the user generates a small amount of energy, which is then used immediately to provide some function. It works so well that I knew the concept would work well for this application too. And this does not disappoint! It's so easy to use. There is a spring-loaded slider that you slide only 3-4 times to generate the energy. There is a battery indicator light to let you know you've generated enough power. Once the digital screen reads 0.0, you are free to attach your luggage to the loop below and this delivers a reading quickly. The final reading blinks a few times and then remains in place until the full energy is used. So perfect. So easy. I'm expecting this to last my lifetime. I also love the color, which is more of a black olive color than a true black, which I prefer, in addition to the overall design.

I buy this luggage scale before my trip and I very happy with it. It no need battery, which is very good because I not have to worry if battery is dead or forget to bring extra. Just slide side button few times and it work perfect!It small and easy to carry. I put in my backpack and no take much space. The screen is big and easy to see the numbers, even when light is not good. I use it for my suitcase and also my backpack and always get correct weight.I like it also because I can change between lb and kg, and the tare function is useful when I use container. Very easy to use, not confusing.Material feel strong, and handle is comfortable. I use also for my fishing bag one time and it also work good.Really great item, I recommend for people who travel or need to weight bag or things. No battery, no problem!
