It's shameful what they're selling as photography equipment. I understand it's cheap, but it should at least work properly the first time you use it.Upon opening the package, I found that the main component, the diffuser, is partially cut by a collapsible spring with very sharp, protruding ends. This is unacceptable, as the diffuser is supposed to neutralize flashes. Therefore, I have decided to return this item.I also wonder how this item has such good reviews.

Didn’t even get to use this - the corner was ripped and doesn’t properly fit over my flash.

This is a nice, inexpensive soft light diffuser for your speed light.

I originally got this for macro photography to fully illuminate it tiny subject, but it works quite well for portrait work too. It attaches with velcro and though it comes with a thing to wrap around your speedlight's head, I'd recommend sticking some onto your flash instead to keep the softbox from slipping off. Alternatively you can put the square translucent diffuser on the speedlight which helps to stop slipping.It's quite large for such a thing - 40cm (about a foot and a third) in diameter and really makes a nice light. Plus it looks like I can play records on my camera 😉
