  1. Cut the end of the tube square using a tubing cutter.
  2. Chamfer the inside of the tube and remove any burrs. Clear any metal chips from inside the tube.
  3. Clean the outside of the tube before placing into the jaws and lubricate the end of the cut tubing with an anti-seize compund.
  4. Place appropriate fittings over the tube.

Secure the Base

Clamp the tool base firmly in a bench vise to ensure no movement.

Insert the Handle

Fully insert the long handle into the hole in the lever base and ensure it is securely seated.

Release the Clamp

Pull out the clamp pin (with the black knob) and rotate the clamp upward.

Install the Rotating Die Head

  • Align and mount it onto the round boss.

How to Use

Install the Rotating Die Head

Die and Tube Positioning

  • Select the Split Dies: Choose the split dies according to the tube size, with the beveled end facing the rotating die head and the other end firmly against the step on the tool base.
  • Insert the tube end between the die halves, ensuring it is flush with the flared end of the dies.

Rotate the die head

Tighten the Clamp

  • Rotate the die head so that the flat-faced OP.0 die aligns with the tube end as a reference gauge.
  • Rotate the clamp back into place, insert the clamp pin through the holes, and push it in until the black knob seats against the tool body.
  • Tighten the T-handle screw on the clamp to secure the die set.

Rotate the die head

Form the Bubble Flare

  • Rotate the die head to align the OP.1 flaring die with the tube end.
  • Push the lever fully inward until it stops to form a bubble flare.

Push the lever

Complete the Double Flare

Without changing the die position, continue pushing the lever fully inward to flatten the bubble flare into a double flare.
