I bought a slip-on tub spout with a diverter for my American Standard faucet, but I encountered issues. The diverter leaked, and the fitting process was troublesome. Furthermore, the matte black finish showed signs of wear relatively quickly, adding to my disappointment with the overall quality and performance of this purchase.

This worked as described and looked much nicer than the old one. The only thing I noticed that it was not made with very heavy materials.

I’m not a plumbing expert, just someone who likes to DIY when possible. It took me a while to install this tub spout, and I’m still not 100% sure I did it perfectly—but water is coming out just fine and the diverter switch works smoothly, so I’m calling it a win. The spout feels sturdy and hasn’t shown any signs of rust so far. I didn’t run into any major issues, and once it was on, it stayed in place and did its job. If you’re a DIYer, expect a little trial and error during installation.So far, I’m happy with it.
