These rasps are not very sharp. I trim horse hooves and while these are okay for someone with a lot of arm strength, they just aren't as sharp as some of the more expensive name brands. For a difficult job, it's better to buy something else.Might be okay for touch ups and minor hoof maintenance in between trims.
