Easy to install, exact fit, works perfectly. Trunk now opens with an added robust pop that it didn't have before. Pleased to have saved myself a good chunk of money, and happy it arrived a day and a half after ordering.

The hatchback on my Prius got to where you had to slam it really hard to get it to close so I got this for $89.00 on Amazon as of Aug 2024 as opposed to the OEM Toyota part price of almost $300.00 and it works great so far. Read where a spring inside of mechanism gets weak and causes it to get like that. Easy 10 minute installation. The $300 part price at Toyota doesn’t even include the labor charge.

New from Toyota is over $200. ebay sells previously owned ones from dismantlers for ~$40... Aliexpress or ebay sells the actuator motor shipped from China for ~$16. I opened the actuator to get at the motor with a utility knife/boxcutter and tried adding lithium grease and cleaning the motor's brushes and still no go on the actuator function, so I got this Amazon Made in China 3rd party aftermarket clone version to get the hatch latch operational again in the fastest lower cost way possible 🙌
