When I originally received this product it arrived looking like one of the bottles inside had opened up. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement! Quick communication on their part..I would order from them again. The PH test portion is spot on and easy to decipher. The alkalinity portion is a bit more confusing and I’m not really sure how accurate it is. My result was invalid. Overall though I bought this for the PH test and am really happy with it!

I've tried different brands of test kits, and this is by far the easiest to use. I especially like the plunger type syringe that you use to measure the water for the sample. It's foolproof and accurate. (I tested both the ph and kh and compared it to other test kits).A word of advice - when you measure ph, put the sample in an area with bright light - preferably sunlight. It is easy to see the different colors on the scale if the light is brilliant. Under dim light, it is hard to read.Overall, I am very pleased.

The pH test is awesome, one of the best I've ever used. The kh test is terrible. The more I use it the more I hate it. The results are very innaccurate. The directions are confusing and judging by how everyone om forums gives a different way to do it, no one actually knows the correct way its supposed to be done. Avoid it. I purchased a Hanna alkalinity checker(really worth the money) and the red sea kit is not that far off. Their directions are just not good. I contacted the company and every drop is counted.

I ordered this kit because of experience with other Red Sea test kits, which I love. The pH test is very easy to use and read. That was where the easy part stopped.I did not read product questions or I would have realized this kit does not come with the large titration unit that is used with a syringe. My bad for not paying attention.Instructions for KH could be written more clearly for step 3. Thank God for a video that explained you should add enough drops to reach the titration "start" color, not just one drop. Consistent test results are almost impossible due to the dropper (pipette). Tested 5 times and had 5 different results which ALL varied greatly from my Salifert test kit.I would give the pH test all 5 stars and the KH all 1 stars, so I chose to meet in the middle.

This is an accurate test for spa water...I use it to track alkalinity changes which are more important than pH.

The Red Sea test kits have always been at the top as far as quality and accuracy goes. A word of advice on the Alkalinity test. Keep a close eye on the color. The color will never match the color shown on the card so once it starts to change to a pinkish red color stop. The test at that point is complete. If you try to get to the color on the card, your results will never be accurate.
