This is double shielded cable. I bought it to make up jumpers for my amateur radio activities. So far it is working well for my HF activities.

I needed a run of cable for my backyard antennas. I found this cable and decided to try it. I put a couple of connectors on it and was all set to go…. I measured it with my Analyzer and the db loss was with in spec….. its been a long time since I dealt with coax, this cable has a solid copper core but it has an aluminum shield and tinned copper shielding. Cable cover seems ok.. not sure how it will hold up over time but no issues so far.

This doesn't come up to the standard of a Messi and Paolomi (the absolute best) cable or Times Microwave Systems. But it's OK for a mobile or casual Amateur Radio use.

I found the cable to be well constructed and very flexible. Great for routing around corners and other tight spots where you wouldn’t want to use bigger diameter line. One thing that I like about the RG58 coax is the price, especially when compared to the higher end cables preferred for antenna feed line, like LMR-400 & 600. This is great to have on hand for projects that need shorter lengths, because the added signal loss of the lower grade coax is quite negligible at short distances so the trade off, in my opinion, is worth it.The insulation sheathing on this cable is thin enough to stay flexible but thick enough to provide ample protection from the environment. The coated copper shielding is quite adequate to protect the core from interference and still even to work with when adding PL259 or other connectors. In conclusion, I think this is good coax with a ton of applications.

The RG58 Coaxial Cable is a reliable option for RF communication needs. I used it to run a line in my attic from my antenna. The cable is solidly made, flexible, and well-shielded, keeping interference at bay. The signal quality is consistent, and there’s no loss over 50 feet. It is significantly thinner than my other coax lines, but that doesn’t seem to affect its performance. For the price, it’s a good cable for moderate RF applications. A solid choice for ham radio enthusiasts, RF hobbyists, or anyone needing a 50-ohm coax.Price when reviewed: $23.99

This RG58 type cable is a lot like a smaller version of a LMR400 cable. It has the solid center with a foil shield and tinned braid over a foam core. It is a little stiff due to the solid center conductor, but it is not as bad as I expected. Standard RG58 connectors fit just fine. Due to the solid core it would be a good idea to limit the bend radius to a min of 2-3 inches. I would also use this for fixed runs instead of jumpers (unless they are going to stay in place). Other than that, it performs electrically as well as most other RG58 types. The jacket is decently thick and abrasion resistant. Be aware that this should not be used in a duplex system. Since this is a foil + braid construction it is subject to noise generation in a duplex environment.

Double shielded RG-58, solid center conductor (not stranded, not A/U). Fairly stiff.

A coil of raw cable. Comes unterminated, so you can add whatever type of connector you need. Handling it is fine. Solid core, not overly hard, and the jacket is a little bit shiny.
