Very well made. Crimps are tight, threads are clear and clean. Works very well. Good value for the cost.

Does its job as rg-58, length is as described, fits as it should. Has a higher loss than desired.

Much sturdier coax...good quality and I would buy again without question!

I am using this cable to mount a dual band vhf/uhf antenna to the back of my Jeep. I just got it installed today and through some testing and signal checks it seems to be working great.

Well made, with over 2" of heat shrink tubing over the connectors to keep the moisture out.The 90* connector is well made and includes a nice bezel nut and backing nut for a good fit in your bracket. You might want to add a lock nut tho.As it is packaged wound up rather small and tied with ti-wraps pulled rather tight, I recommend unrolling & letting it rest in the sun for an afternoon. I am concerned about the dielectric (inside, white insulation) getting deformed and changing the Electrical (RF) characteristics of the cable, causing more loss.

Being an operator living in an apartment I try to use the space I have. I bought fifty feet of coax for my hf radio to use outside. That was perfect for outside. I tried many variations of running it. I finally decided to get a shorter piece. I like both connectors, the traditional pl 259 as well as connector I use to mount the 8” mag mount. Now I don’t have all the clutter as well as when I have visitors, it’s barely noticeable.

Worked acceptably when I tested it. I tested it with NanoVNA and my SWRs were acceptable. Although it has heat shrink that supposedly has adhesive inside of it, if you are going to be leaving it outside and exposed to the weather, I would suggest the connectors be wrapped with some more protection, painted with the liquid plastic type insulation material, or fully coated with silicone / RTV.Apparently, the person creating the ad doesn't know much about electronic equipement. Many of the labels do not match the images. For example, they have a photo of an antenna analyzer and label it as a radio scanner, the photo of a CB radio is labeled antenna analyzer, and the photo of a Cobra VHF marine transceiver radio is labeled as a CB.So, what would such a device actually be used for? It's a bit short to be used for going all the way up your antenna mast for an exterior antenna. It might be good for going across your room to a window where you could install it in a replacement window pane to allow you to pass the connector through and still keep the window closed and locked. I looked for a PL-259 to 5/8x24 adapter on Amazon to see if there was anything available that would allow it to work as a right angle antenna mount for a vehicle antenna, but could not find anything.I'll end up using it as a temporary cable for an external antenna, maybe just for the portion of the cable that goes to the base of the mast and then hooked to a different cable for the entire length of the mast.Nothing special about this cable and it not particularly general purpose, so I think it is a 3-star (i.e. "average" rating.STAR RATING SCALE:1 -- Poor product; Waste of money at ANY price; Blatant lies in the original listing.2 -- Below average product; Something about it is a bit lacking; It could be conflicted specifications or errors in the original listing or that it was arrived with damage that was unlikely to have occurred during shipping and should have been caught in either the manufacturer's or seller's quality control.3 -- Average product; Meets expectations, perfectly serviceable, but does not do anything that sets it apart from similar products; Does not have some features that makes me say, "Wow, that's a neat feature".4 -- Above average product; Something about it sets it a bit above similar products on the market.5 -- Excellent product (or perhaps customer service); There is NO room for improvement whatsoever; NOTHING is perfect, so this rating *should* be EXTREMELY difficult to achieve.Ordered:2023-12-10Received:2023-12-13Reviewed:2023-12-17
