First the pans... Assembly came with the striker designed for the version that also had the built in deadbolt. The striker is longer than the one that came with the RV without the deadbolt. The two locating pins are wider than the earlier version resulting in difficult or impossible closing of the door if using the original striker.I used the original striker, having to file the pin guides to make them larger so the door would shut and open without having to beat the door to a pulp. There was no feasible way to use the included striker with my door, would have required major surgery and I'm more the meatball field surgeon type.To install the latch onto the door required using a wood chisel to enlarge the opening by 2-3 MM or so on the inner vertical portion of the door frame. I wanted some room to position the latch better so the latch pins would clear the striker best. Once assembled and all five screws were secured the latch feels like it is welded to the door.All in all this is a great option for anyone with the older door latch design. Well made with quality materials, made in USA was a nice bonus also.

Do not waste your valuable money on this product! This is our second lock latch we have purchased from this RV manufacturer. Living full-time in my motorhome camper, the side door gets a lot of use, yet not that much use to where this lock latch broke AGAIN. I had repurchased this product from Amazon in November 2020 after my husband had done some research on this item and found that the manufacturer ‘supposedly’ 🙄 replaced some type of plastic piece within the inside mechanism that has shown to fail frequently. So we re-purchased the same lock given the fact that the manufacturer assured customers that upgrades had been made to the lock & latch to prevent further failure. Well, this morning I found myself once again locked out of my rig due to this lock again failing. Thank goodness I’ve kept the front cabin key on my key ring at all times just in case this would ever occur again. Now lucky me, gets to haul myself my large dog, all my laundry, the trash, and whatever else through the side cab multiple times a day. Please do not waste your money on this product, it will fail and fail again.

I gave this a 3 only because it fit the hole nicely but not the width of the door. So it would not latch and it was returned.

Reused the old pins and lock plate, with the new lock assembly.Fit with minor trimming (that was not done originally to fully open the opening...THERE is no bolt lock, or its part above the pins on this lock face, the pictures are WRONG...just the 2 pins and the latch.

This door lock was a perfect for our 2004 Tiffin Motorhome but once installed, it would open from the outside but not the inside. The actuator latch is not long enough.

Ordered and received the T505 "entrance door lock without deadbolt". Extremely well made and is actually better than the original door latch. It easily fit without any problems into the original door cutout. But, the striker plate that came with this unit is for the model with a deadbolt and cannot be used with the T505 and mounting screws for the plate were not included. The alignment slots on the original plate are too narrow. I have email RVDesigner looking for a solution.

Used this on an older 2001 National SeaView Class A Motorhome. Install was difficult due to the inter twist lock lever! Had to cut two thirds of the twist handle off to clear the screen door frame so it could be unlocked before closing the door. Other then an hour to do the Mod, it was easy to install.

As others have mentioned, you will need to make some minor modifications to fit this into an older motorhome. I used nothing more than a file. This unit is built very well and the design is much more reliable than the earlier. The lock on the outside works well and the locking knob on the inside is easy to use
