About this item

  • Brand New in box. The product ships with all relevant accessories

Ryobi redefines cordless lawn mowers with the second generation 20 in. 40-Volt Brushless Mower. Featuring gas-like power, this mower has an intelligent brushless motor with load-sensing technology, allowing it to detect and deliver the power needed to maintain an optimal cutting speed. This means the mower will not get bogged down in overgrown patches of grass and, when additional power is not needed, increases run time by saving the battery. The Ryobi Brushless Mower has a large 20 in. cutting deck, and with its mulching or bagging option, you can get the job done quickly and just the way you like. With its push-button start and 7-position single point height adjustment, you're ready to begin in seconds without having to mess with gas and oil. For easy and compact storage, the telescoping handle has quick-release knobs and the mower is designed to be stored vertically.

I bought it on June 2021. It has been 3 years. Installed new blade and rear guard flap and then it work fine. Low maintenance product.

Vacuuming power is gone but the cut and quiet motor was very nice. Light weight as well. Once I figured out the 3 things needed to get it to start it was nice. I’m sure it’s safety measures but you need to have the grip bar fully extended, red key inserted next to battery and the grass collection bag must be attached. I took the mower out of the box slapped the battery in and was worried that I bought a bad mower till I read the instructions. As of Dec 31 2023 gas mowers are banned from sells in the stores so I went out and got an electric. Look for rebates online to see if you can get $250 back like I did.

We are a Ryobi family so when it came time for a mower we decided to give Ryobi a try. This mower is quiet, holds charge (the battery is interchangeable with our other Ryobi products), and light-weight enough my kid can lift and maneuver himself (and he is not an ‘athletic’ kid). I would note that the wheels themselves are a hard-plastic (a bit cheap) and the mower is not self-propelled, so if you have terrain this may make maneuvering more difficult. Overall, a great purchase, very pleased!

I've had this product 1 1/2 years. The good, takes the same batteries as other Ryobi 40v tools, such as string trimmer (smaller capacity but they work). Single lever height adjustment is great and the unit is pretty light and easy to use. Comes with mulching plate and bagger.Only negative is cut quality isn't great. Needs higher blade speed to generate more vacuum to life grass and cut cleanly. The mower normally operates on a "low" mode, that's where the speed issue comes to play. It has a high speed mode, but only goes into it when it senses a higher cutting load. If you could force it to run in high all the time it might be better-though shorten the battery life. So it leaves some long, uncut blades randomly, have to hit then a 2nd time to get a quality mow. And as expected, you need to keep the blades very sharp.

I was skeptical of an electric lawn mower at first. But after using this, I think it's even better than gas
