Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date. Gently press seeds into a seed-starting mix as they need light to germinate. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. Do not let the soil dry out. Transplant seedlings outdoors after the last frost when the temperature is at least 60°F. When growing as an indoor plant, plant the seeds in a large pot with ample drainage holes. When growing outdoors, plant in rich, organic, well-drained soil and always keep the soil evenly moist. Pinch off plant tips when they are 4-6 inches tall to encourage branching.
