A multicolor mix of perennial and easy-to-grow spiky flowers that can grow up to 3 feet tall.

Start seeds in the spring-early summer or in the fall for blooming in the following spring. The best is to plant in the fall, as the plants can benefit from overwintering. For better germination, soak seeds for 24 hours before planting to soften their tough seed coat. Plant seeds 1/8-inch deep in full sun to lightly shaded areas and water until germination. Loosen the soil to 12-20 inches deep, apply fertilizer once a month, and pinch off spent flowers to prolong the blooming period.
