Nothing to dislike. Purchased several of these.Seems to take out moisture very well. Good price point, Durability, only time will tell.

For the record, I did end up buying a cloth type swab at my local music store not long after buying this one (just prefer cloth type swabs better), but originally intended to use this as a bore oil swab for my backup clarinet. It was so absorbing, that I'm just using it as what it was originally intended for my backup clarinet. Great price too I might add. :)

A good cheap option for cleaning out an instrument, but if you're a professional musician, it's best you look for a more high quality instrument cleaner. Served it's purpose for me, and I didn't have much of an issue, but like the title suggests, ti doesn't absorb very much at all. However, if you're just looking for a cheap effective solution for cleaning an instrument, this one will work decently. Worked for about three years, and still useable.

I use this for a "non-conforming use". I use it to swab my tenor sax neck. Those fuzzy neck swab things don't get the neck dry, so I run this through after I am done with that one. It does the job. I recently bought a clarinet, so I will be getting another one for it's intended use.

This is the best way to clean your instrument. The fuzzy sticks you put in the instrument tend to ruin pads because students leave them in the instrument. This particular model is a decent felt-type with a long enough string to clean the entire clarinet at once. Just swipe through a handful of times and you will be good!

According to our daughter, this is superior to the swab that originally came with her instrument which she lost :)She likes the weighted cord that goes down the tube so that she can pull the little absorbent towel through so she no longer needs to worry about it getting stuck inside. And if she's happy, the product gets 5 stars from me.

Although silk is best if you are going to swab a mouthpiece, it is expensive. The Dri Bore swab is the less expensive way to clean and dry the clarinet. Also, if you are going to apply bore oil (or sweet almond oil), it is good to get an extra Dri Bore swab and soak it in a bit of oil. Once applied to the clarinet, you can keep the oily swab in a zip lock bag until it is needed again (usually once a year of oiling the bore is plenty).

This cloth is the perfect fit for the bore of a clarinet. It fits tightly enough to take all the moisture off the inside walls of the instrument but doesn't hurt it or get stuck. The cloth is not really absorbent so much as it is magnetic. That is, it kind of picks up all the drops and only actually absorbs some of the water, so when you take it out just shake it off a little. I think this is better because you can reuse the cloth easily if you have to because it isn't wet and also you're more sure you've gotten everything out. A great buy!
